Most of them are excited for college football! Which is, by far, America's most absurd major sport, in both the best and worst possible ways.
Also... The SE++ Pick 'Em will return! The format will be the same as past years, and I'll explain the rules when we get there. We will not be picking anything for Week 0, so expect the first picks to go up before I leave for PAX.
I'm expecting losses to both MSU and OSU this season because life is pain
I'll go back to this post in November and see if I was right
Hello, future BFL.
The most Michigan post.
The idea that your vote is a moral statement about you or who you vote for is some backwards ass libertarian nonsense. Your vote is about society. Vote to protect the vulnerable.

I enjoyed that for about 30 minutes and then I feel like they got bored. Which is kinda like the alumni sections of Michigan Stadium :rimshot:

And of course, a subset of Buckeye fans are screaming about how unethical it is for McMurphy to attempt to tie Meyer to this, even though there's nothing in the article stating Meyer is involved
Okay, not to defend any of his shit, but that's a very misleading sentence:
Zach Smith ordered more than $2,200 in sex toys, male apparel and photography equipment and had the items delivered to him at Ohio State’s Woody Hayes Athletic Center in 2015
That could be a $10 shirt, one novelty gift, and a upper-mid range camera.
Edit: Okay, so they went into SOME detail later on, it included an $80 light kit, and listed some apparel that I have a very hard time imagining would add up to anything close to a couple hundred bucks let alone a thousand. But what isn't actually covered in that tweet is he was taking pictures of him receiving oral sex and having sex with an OSU staffer. Which I feel like is a much bigger deal to all of this than the sex toys?!

I'm not sure it's anyone, given that we are in hour 13 of this meeting.

Also, am I the only one who thinks that comment makes sense? He didn't cover it up, but he didn't report it properly. So, the argument is that he's less culpable because it was incompetence rather than conspiracy?
3 game suspension for Meyer. Means he actually misses a game of consequence against TCU but still feels light considering. He is suspended from the team until Sept. 2, can rejoin program after but not coach until after the TCU game.
Smith suspended without pay till September 16.

They're basically trying to use Hanlon's Razor to justify this, except they literally fired Jim Tressel over something less egregious.
Reading over these statements, the absurdly performative hand-wringing would be a lot more effective if all of these school administrators weren't tying themselves in knots trying to come up with a way to say that Meyer did something wrong, but he didn't do it wrong enough to merit an actual punishment.
They should replace the school president with one of those face painted Buckeye Superfans
It would be more honest I think
I mean, it sounds like the President was the only one acting in good faith here? He was steadfast saying Meyer should be suspended while the board didn't want any punishment. Unless you mean, it would be more honest of the Board?
Saw Kirk Herbstreit on ESPN this morning, and even he was being critical of the weak ass 3 games and mealy mouthed press conference. Gonna go ahead and say OSU screwed the pooch on this one.

Hello, future BFL.
The most Michigan post.
This may be the only Michigan podcast hosted by someone with multiple Michigan tattoos.
And one Michigan Totoro tattoo.
I know UF fans don't like Bama but this is very rude
Jesus tapdancing Christ
I don't think this would impact Meyer's status (unless he knew about this, but there's nothing in the report to suggest it)
But it is weird as all hell

Hint: It's not the president of the school.

I resolve that we change the rather offensive "Mexican standoff" to the "OSU standoff".

What a fucking bullshit punishment.
So, yeah. That should be enough for firing right there.
But not at THE Ohio State

I wonder how Urban feels about the fact that the official story is basically "he didn't lie, he's just stupid"
Are you fucking kidding me
"I should have done more but... I didn't think anyone was going to find out."
It's good to see they're keeping the truly important people in mind.
What an absolute fucking joke.
It would be more honest I think
Fuck Ohio State and fuck the NCAA.

The president comes off better than the rest here
Although, still not all that well.
