The bridge boss isn't too bad but I'm stuck on the clock boss, like 8 losses so far
Have you tried traps? Like blade and shooter traps if you can get them make the fight a lot easier cause they'll do the work while you focus on staying alive plus they'll block ground level shurikens (but not the chain)
A freezing blast or grenade is also useful because if you get caught by the chain you can use the freezing thing on the boss before they hit you and it will slow her attack down enough where the root will fade and you can roll again before she swings
This was great advice thanks. Unfortunately I am still so terrible at timing even with freeze attacks that he got me every time haha. Luckily I was able to brute force him with two legendary skills a tornado and like a portal damage thing, and I was able to beat him through attrition. Ended with like 10% of my health left haha.
Also it sucks that so many legendarys have the +100% damage taken stat cos I just can't use them because I screw up too much even with a careful build

If an item has dangerous affixes like that but you still want it, leave it there until you're going to leave the stage
Kill everything else you're gonna kill, THEN go back and grab it, and you can reroll the affixes between stages anyway
+100% damage dealt and taken is a fairly common legendary affix though
Gah so many cool blueprints lost in the high castle place. And I wasn't even finding it that difficult, just a few badly done slams into spikes or spinning spike balls

high peak castle is a hellhole and the giant sword gentlemen in particular can fuck entirely the hell off
In the promenade. Keep getting interrupted after I use the hunter thing and then use the next item. Annoying.
Everytime i try bringing the hunter rune, i end up throwing the grenade during a busy moment, and forgetting to pick it back up until about 2 seconds after i walk through the exit door.
Years of playing rpgs and hoarding consumables has made me, irrationally, use skills/grenades extremely rarely.
Sure it's only a 12 second cooldown, but what if I need it before then?
Get double crossbow turrent + the bleeding turrent, + the mutation that reduces cooldown on skills and you will literally forget you have a main hand weapon.

I'm beginning to wonder if that mutation that reduces skill cooldown is actually a trap choice for a tactical turret build
It might be worth it for laceration auras or other active skills, but usually my turrets will last past the time it takes them to recharge with that mutation on
they might last longer but you might be wanting to reposition them. i definately find it worth it. dropping into a dangerous area only long enough to drop your turrets then jump back out again also means you can move faster in the normal levels.

nah it's good cuz it lets you move through levels nice and quick since you're not waiting for cooldowns for the next section, plus it lets you basically have 100% uptime against bosses that can kill the turrets fairly easily

Freeze blast, Ice grenade, or stun grenade are basically must haves if you are doing Hunter runs. Way too frustrating otherwise.
I guess if you're a chump who uses traps that can be destroyed instead of the Beautiful Barnacle
Barnicles are pretty good for bosses, but kinda slow firing for general killing. try using a barnicle as your main damage in say forgotten sanctuary when you need to get past a group of enemies to get to the next lamp.
is in the slumbering sanctuary. if you make it to the zone, you will eventually encounter the room its in (you will have to kill an elite and you cant leave the room without the runes ability).
The coffins that teleport you? those require the teleportation rune,
which is in the toxic sewers. similar to above i think.
Honestly once you have played a while, the only zones that you still really hate are like toxic sewers and forgotten schepula. then its just individual monsters you really hate... like Golems. You will always hate Golems.
I think I'm pretty much out of blueprints to get now? I got my first win the other night on a Survival Only run. Playing with shields and shovels is a ton of fun
I still completely stunk at hitting the dodges at the proper time and I still almost died twice, but a Survival build with a Repeater Crossbow and a decent shield worked well and a Crusher that did a heck of a lot of damage. I also used that Survival like Cursed Strength skill and frankly found it pretty uninspiring. It was like +10% damage +10% damage dealt to you and I feel like making the Hand pause or having some extra environmental effects on the field would have been nicer.
Every danged point I could find into Survival, had 15k health at the end of it, went Prison -> Promenade -> Ossuary -> Bridge -> Stilt -> Sepulcher -> Clock Room -> High Peak -> Hand. Took every Cursed Chest I could.
High peak was pretty much a breeze at that point, the Repeater on normal enemies was astounding.
Boss Cells... are not a thing I'm going to do probably! They're hard as heck.

Got pulled through a wall by a golem during a boss fight. The camera centered to the side of the door, I couldn't see my character, couldn't move, and buttons did nothing. I just took the same amount of damage every second or so until I died. Got the death screen and no options came up so I had the close and restart.

throw em down from a safe range, wait a couple seconds, rinse and repeat
I have a legendary flamethrower turret, pike and shield and I beat the clocktower boss again and now I'm scared to go on haha
Edit : platinum get. About 40 hours total playtime. Slightly easier then rogue legacy but still pretty damn hard. Well worth the money in my opinion.

Also how do I get a wall jump?
The coffins that teleport you? those require the teleportation rune,
Start -> Toxic Sewers
Start -> Promenade of the Condemned -> Ossuary
Start -> Toxic Sewers -> Ancient Sewers -> Insufferable Crypt -> Slumbering Sanctuary

Thank you for reminding me that the Ossuary exists. I hate that you reminded me that the Ossuary exists.
