Castle is at production level 75 and I need 100 to upgrade it another time so I can then upgrade the Smith to Level 4 if I want to make 4* weapons. Only thing is everything now takes a lot of time and elemental orbs to build.
Maybe I should continue the story at this point and see if I can unlock some more structures?
Im gonna wait and see what this raid is like before I decide if I need to go harder and faster on prepwork type stuff. Hoping my team is good enough as is and I dont need to worry about elemental weapons or 4star weapons.

Someone said up-thread that story progress does unlock more structures. There are shrines for weapon types and dragon elements (there's a castle summary page that shows total bonuses).
I can also confirm that hitting level 22 lets you build an additional mine, which is a lot of extra levels. Curious what 24 will get me (as so far it's been every even level unlocks or uncaps a structure).
Edit: Todays a good day for working on castle though since you have easy farming for all the orbs for the shrines.

Eh, not like having a Water team built up is a bad thing
It just means focusing on that element now instead of others, you're going to want every element raised up to some extent due to the importance of matching elements to dungeons
the combat didn't start to feel interesting to me until I unlocked the dragon trials mode and started occasionally losing, and chapter 6 of the campaign was where I stopped completely steamrolling campaign missions and had to redo a few of them a couple times to get the no deaths checkbox ticked off. I think it could stand to have ramped up the difficulty a little faster. It's admittedly still not very deep but it's a little bit better than the first impression it gave me.
I’m assuming you’re at the start in which case it gets better imo
It does start you out just steamrolling everything by clicking wildly, but eventually the stuff gets strong enough that there’s something to play

Running a lot of Expert Dragon Trials now, and I'd say a solid 75% of runs have someone bring an off element 5* and just fucking eat it half way through the fight
Meanwhile I just solo'd the final 20% of Brunhilde with Elisanne because element matters a lot
Dragon trials don't joke around, that's for sure. I can sleepwalk through any other daily, but those I actually have to pay attention and match weaknesses.
Some people on twitter are getting to the 13k might High Dragon fights and they look pretty nutty.
FFXIV style stack/split mechanics, dropping persistent AOE tornadoes away from the party, burst phase DPS checks where you have to interrupt casts before you wipe, good times, good times.
also my brother managed to figure out some way of getting it to run in an android emulator and he hasn't been banned yet. I'll report back if it blows up in his face.
I kind of hate the 5 star guy I ended up with, he's a water spear guy with the largely the same skills as the story water lance girl so there's basically no reason to ever use her or invest in her, but I hate the 5 star's design and like the story character's design a lot. I kinda want to reroll to try for a different 5 star character who doesn't render one of the story characters obsolete.

Hoooooly shit
Trying to do Midgarsormr Expert is infuriating in a way that Burnhilde Expert didn't prepare me for
Everyone is trying to fight him with Wind units, and they're all dying inside of thirty seconds
EDIT: Trying to do this fight in co-op makes me want to die

Holy crap. I'm 27 and had missed the additional mine. Got to build level 88 without it. This'll help quite a bit.
Had the materials and rubies after hording for a couple days. Now I too have a water spear! Only lvl 20 but Im not putting that many resources in for a 3star weapon.

Yeah, fully upgraded stuff is too much work to unbind for the benefit right now I think.
My level 4 castle just finished, so now I can finally get the forge up to level 4 and work on crafting 4* weapons. The materials don't look too bad for those, at least at the first stage.

I’m planning to focus on 4* weapons. I might get a water spear built for Elly, but I wasn’t sure it would be the best way to spend my efforts.
Edit: went for it since I had enough materials anyways. Not planning to unbind it though.
But every mao you clear is up to 25, story events are 25, adventurer stories are 25 then 10s, dragon stories, multiplayer is worth up to 2000 or so, all those achievement bonuses, etc. etc.
Some people have been testing, btw, and it seems like elements work like Granblue
Element wheel deals +50% damage and takes -50% damage if they have advantage, vice versa if they have disadvantage
Light/Dark always act as though the player is superior element, so Light and Dark units at worst only have neutral matchups
Basically don't take off element characters to fights, unless it's a Light or Dark healer
do light and dark not take extra damage from enemy attacks of the opposite one? so if you bring a light unit to a dark enemy area they're going to do bonus damage but also take bonus damage?

If you bring light to a dark fight you deal +50% damage and take -50% damage

I've only just broken 7k
And realistically not even, since that's just stacking all my strongest stuff into one party to unlock the Expert Dragons
also my brother managed to figure out some way of getting it to run in an android emulator and he hasn't been banned yet. I'll report back if it blows up in his face.

I’m kind of shocked, just because of the popularity of ezelith
I mean, midgardsormr is an appropriate place to bring her. The generic money/xp runs are weak enough element doesn't matter.
But how did anyone get through ch 2 without realizing bring her to a water fight is a bad idea?

Big thanks to the maniacs who actually were able to play it already
Because chapter 2 was still so easy that fire units could faceroll through it.

I would never have done that. No way.

Repeatably?
Daily bonuses mainly. Not very fast that way?
