did a complete uninstall and reinstall and implemented buffout4 and it -seems- to be working
I got past the train anyway. the game looks like ass though and I can't figure out how to bump up my settings =p
I had to open Fallout 4 X:\gog\Fallout 4 GOTY - Fallout4Launcher.exe and change video settings. Weapon Debris should be Off btw.

Its a shame the mod is a chore to set up because it honestly seems like it might be one of the best in Fallout history. Deserves all the attention that Frontier got.
Yeah I’ve had crashing issues with it, running from GOG but using the Fallout4 file makes it not as bad. I really don’t want to dick around with nexus mods or anything. You can’t make me go back. I swore I’d never use again.
Havelock2.0 on
You go in the cage, cage goes in the water, you go in the water. Shark's in the water, our shark.
Also out of curiosity for anyone who’s played a bit of it, does this seem more lethal on Normal than baseline FO4? I feel like anything that’s not a shotgun or grenade/molotov is generally worthless, and the wildlife hit and soak damage like a semi

Yeah, the difficulty is definitely high. I would recommend doing as many early quests as possible from both factions or just cheating and getting your level up if you're having issues.
Also save often, you never know when you'll open a door to find a swarm of high level enemies that insta kill you if you're too low a level.

Yeah it's hard at the start. It does ease up a bit once you get decent weapons and armor. I'm 16 now and -most - enemies are very manageable. The game likes to swarm you though and that can get annoying. But I got a flamethrower now

In London, seems like they use tickets for currency instead of caps.
Man,melee builds are eating good with this mod. Maces, halbards, and swords all available early and deal some decent damage.
Chainsaw's a bit underwhelming.

With a "chainsaw" looking like that, I'm guessing the Bonesaw above it looks like a spoon.
-Bit of a rant- finally got Fallout London to work.
Like PC builder on steam someone needs to make a game about getting Fallout London to work.
I had it on Steam. No Mods but its been on my PC forever.
-Download Galaxy while hating myself for loading another launcher for "convenience".
-Downgrade Fallout using tool, crash multiple times, keep re-running finally works
-Install using Galaxy-seems to Install
-Play game until train, enjoy multiple crashes, game is unplayable after "train"
-Search ye old internets, find fix, load fix, runs 20 seconds after train, progress is achieved, crash.
-Update video drivers, reboot pc. Can Play.
-Loading in any zone takes up to 2 minutes. Entering a house becomes a chore.
-Play anyway because I am excited.
-Long load times suck my excitement, contemplate uninstalling Galaxy and Fallout
-Search ye old internets, find a supposed fix, will install when I get home.
I liked what I played but holy majoles I can't imagine someone tech illiterate installing and enjoying it. The butterfly knife is sweet. I did go into a certain POI I didn't have a quest for and encountered a "skull" creature that nearly killed me. Exploring is awesome.
Just found a bridge from one building to another with some bandits on it. I killed them and wanted to get up there to loot, but I couldn't find any way up there. One building had a pub that I cleared but no exit to the bridge, the other was without any doors. Eventually I just cheated my way up there and there was a door, but when I clicked it it just had an opening animation and then.... nothing. That's like the fifth such door
There was a 005 magazine up there, too.
Tried to give London a go. Got the GOG version on Fallout 4: GOTY on sale and installed the mod. Was able to get through character creation, but it keeps crashing at the same place in the beginning section, about two rooms in. Welp.
Been playing through A Storywealth mod collection. I'm enjoying it quite a lot. Pretty light on graphics and gameplay tweaks, heavy on content. That's good except having a super-full quest log gives me the ick.
Stray observations and questions:
In Sim Settlements 2 I now have industrial plots that say they are making organic materials (oil, leather) and machine parts (screws, springs). Are those really getting made? Are they getting put into my workshop inventory or do I need to access them somehow? I need so much leather for my armor mods.
This modpack has extensively modified and gussied up the female bodies (and removed their underwear) and left the males untouched, as far as I can tell. Modding!
Lots of ladies' clothes too. Some are very silly. There's 4 mods to make 'classy' versions of most of the outfits in the base game. Classy means cutting them up to show cleavage and midriff and thigh. Some are ok looking!
I don't have any feel for the 'tiers' of various weapons and armor, and the mods have added many more. That plus the ingame ability to mod things makes it so I don't really know what to pick up equipment-wise.
Quality on these mods is all over the place. Lots of bedroom voice acting. Some real teenage edgelord quests. Armor that has insane stats or none at all.

can't say I tried the GOG method, I went with the steam install and then ran their downgrader, which was it's own mess, that seems to work.
Couple things you can try to fix it:
make sure everything is getting installed in to the exact same folder, it gives you the option to install fallout london to a different folder but i think that just messes things up.
you should also get Buffout, just do the manual download and extract the files in to the appropriate folder. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/47359
oh and make sure cloud saves are turned off.
edit: oh yeah, and running the f4se_loader.exe rather than the standard gog loader
Fallout London makes me want to see if I can equip multiple musket pistols and swap out every time after I shoot one.
I am a little sad there’s no modifications I can do to the current pistol like going from smoothbore to rifled, or different firing options (like going to a wheellock), engraving the grip, adding a second barrel, and the like.
You go in the cage, cage goes in the water, you go in the water. Shark's in the water, our shark.
man I put it on super easy and still get one shotted by the first story boss .... that you can't avoid =/
oh... that guy. I ran in and made sure to keep my distance, as long as you don't just back up in the narrow hallway there's lots of room to run around in.
yeah... early 10 or so levels are pretty rough, spent most of that time crawling around hoping not to get noticed, but now that i'm lvl 20 I'm blasting those guys away like they were rad roaches. Robots are still a pain in the ass though, have to carry around an energy weapon just to deal with them.

yeah I'm currently level 6 or 7
decided I'm going to do the vandals for a while even though I don't actually want to join them =p
I'm debating starting over a third time so I can grab the early service rifle I missed

Have you done the Thameshaven quests? Those reward you with a pretty good starting level gun and you can find a companion which helps a lot with early game.
Also see if you can buy a combat shotgun from the thameshaves vendor, that thing is crazy good.

I've got the quest pistol and upgraded it to the max Gun Nut 1 will get
I shot the thing with a legendary musket that does 135 a shot but it didn't even take off but a sliver
I don't mind getting one shotted so long as I have a fighting chance, but these creatures that one hit kill and are also bullet sponges are grating. but I will continue!
there's one robot enemy in one of the Vagabond quests that drove me nuts. Had to abandon the quest and go around leveling up a bit, finally came back and managed to kill it with an energy weapon.
I think they did some wonky shit with the armor rating for enemies that cranked it up to a 11, thankfully there's not a whole lot of them in the game... apart from the walking mines. those can fuck right off.

Lot of mod creators seem to go with either ridiculous meat shields or everyone and everything dies in one hit.
The latter is pretty much what made me give up on Dust. Spending thirty minutes getting killed over and over again by the same raider in Primm wasn't really turning out to be my idea of fun.

It's pretty rare to find modders that have any notion of decent balance. Most of them think people want the groin-punching parts of games should always be groinier and punchier while completely failing to realize how stupid that is.
Though Bethesda is usually only slightly better than the average modder when it comes to balance. Slap a bunch of HP on shit, slap extra damage resistance on the bosses, call it a day. No need to bother with any shit like tactical gameplay or interesting mechanics.

haven't tried my self.
Also disable cloud backup for save files as recommended by the mod, I think the backup might screw up your saves.

this describes a Jenga tower.
"Oh you are so fucking dead. Just give me fifteen minutes to reload."
I hope there an npc name Sharpe that teaches you to shoot 4 rounds a minute.

By the end, I was carrying around like six muskets and just unloading them one after another.
