Obsessive about dieting

I've been on a diet but it seems to be all I'm thinking about 24/7. I'm not as interested in doing things I was interested in before now because it's consumed my life. I still want to diet to be healthy, but I want to have fun in life too and be happier. Any advice would be great.

Therapy. Or off-load some of the mental cost of dieting onto a nutrition specialist, if it's covered by your insurance or health care provider.

TBH I never really feel happy anymore. I feel like I've lost passion for things. When I do something, it's not really because I want to but because that's what ''me' would do. It's like I've forgotten who I am. It's been going on for a while, but I just really noticed.

You shouldn't make multiple threads -- just fold all your questions into one. I think Hahnsoo1's advice about therapy was already spot-on, but now I'm absolutely sure of it.

I closed the other thread, they seem pretty similar and this will keep responses in one place.

Sounds like depression or an eating disorder. Either way, get a psychiatrist referral.

How long has it been? Changing what you eat sucks for a couple weeks, but usually you adjust. I've given up sweets and simple carbs right now, after about a week it got easier.
