Yea, you're right. There is a pre-existing conference scheduled for Thursday but I'm not seeing a date for a hearing to address his (Stone's, to be clear) recent shenanigans.
I find it really depressing that there are so many investigations and trials ongoing right fucking now that we're actually having trouble keeping all of them straight.
Press Secretary said today the President has not decided on whether to pardon Manafort yet.
Putting aside how bad the optics pardoning Manafort is, how gets him nothing (other then maybe some false hope for the rest of these chucklefucks) or how he's effectively getting off virtually scott free the real issue is that (as I understand it) the state level sentences are liable to be the real hard ones and also beyond the president's authority to pardon.

Then there's the whole thing that Judge Ellis apparently believed that the prosecution of Manafort was an attempt to coerce him to testify against Trump. And what's the thing you can do to people who have been pardoned of crimes? The Bush/Libby thing would be positively cagey in comparison.
If Manafort next Judge literally gives him max allowable does that open up any kind of appeals thing? I don’t give a shit about the Right using it as a rallying cry or excise for pardon, I want max jail time thrown at him.

I believe an appeal is always available (unless you plead guilty?), it just becomes more likely to be granted the less "reasonable" the sentence.

You can preserve your right to appeal in a guilty plea.

That’s Manafort, right? I’m talking about Stone?

Stone was never in the administration, he was a campaign member when he did all that criminality.
I thought he was the bean roaster? Maybe he just started the drip, it’s not entirely clear.
It's only a matter of time before my comment is completely accurate anyway.
With that level of decisiveness Manafort will be out before he has finished pondering it.

So he's going to pardon Manafort.
People can change their tune on cooperating after they get indicted, and there's likely more indictments on the way.
