[D&D] Looking for help re: minis and battlemaps

DraconiclastDraconiclast Registered User regular
I'm starting a D&D group for students at an area high school and want to buy some minis and other sorts of battlemap types of stuff, but I'm not sure if I'm searching for the wrong things on Amazon or what, but I'm not finding what I'm looking for. Does anyone have any advice on brands or companies I should be searching for? Thanks in advance (if this isn't appropriate for this forum, I apologize).

"Chessex Battle Map" Get some dry erase pens and go to town. This will be your most versatile option. If you have access to a large color printer I would also recommend trolling Patreon for fantasy map makers. there's lots of cool shit being made with a grid (or not) laid out on top of it. It can be super fun to play on.

"Pathfinder Bestiary Box" This is probably the best bang for your buck collection of monsters for miniatures. Printed double sided on cardboard, you get a ton of high quality minis and a bunch of plastic bases to put them on. We use these a lot in my home game.

    Hope this helps!
