What's the story behind the PAX space shirts?

I have the PAX Luna and PAX Saturn T-shirts. Love the design, but have no clue what the story is behind the graphics. Anyone know the story behind them?

    As I understand it, it's just a fun futuristic "well by 30XX, we'll have PAX everywhere in the solar system!"
    Not sure there's anything beyond that. If there is, I haven't seen it.

    Yeah, I think it's pretty much "the designers thought it was cool". Which is definitely a trend I'm appreciating in PA merch the past couple of years.
