Going to Europe with my PSP...need advice

I am taking a trip to Scotland in a few weeks, and I will have my trusty PSP for the long flight, drving (I won't be in the drivers seat) and train rides. I wanna make sure that sexy little black toy is up and running as much as possible.

SO! What should I get? Does a regular car/lighter adapter work in Scottish cars? What about the wall outlets. I know they have different plugs over there, so what do I need? What about the 8 hour flight? Is there some kind of bigger battery?

I look forward to the wisdom of my cross the seas brethren, and traveling PSP folks :)

You will need a multitude of adapters.

We use a different voltage to you, so you will fry your electronics.

You cant just charge for a shorter time.

Also, Im not sure about in car charging, it might be the same. You would have to look that up.

Im also not sure if they do bigger batteries, not likely. try just playing in <8 hour stints or however long the PSP lasts for.

(or get a DS which lasts forever)jk

You'll need a plug adaptor like this one.

As far as I know the lighter plugs in UK cars are the same as anywhere else.

Edit: Heh, forgot about the voltage change. Can't help you there, try asking your local electronics store about converters.

AC adapters usually transform the voltage for you. though i would check that. i burned out a pda i bought in america when i did that back here. we have crazy voltage.

Read the AC Plug for the PSP. If it says 100~240 then you're good to go. Just get an adapter. I forget what the PSP has.

Buy Tales of Eternia while you're there, it's an awesome game which isn't released in the US (unless you've played the PSX version, but still, it's an excellent game).

    This is true.

The UK runs at 220 or 240V (I forget which) whilst you fools without an Earth prong run at about 110V.

All UK's nintendo chargers only run at 220-240V so if you take them to the states or mainland europe they wont charge (Stupid fucking nintendo). So I would check carefully your chargers.

If you get an adaptor and plug a 110V only transformer into a UK socket you can kiss your electronics goodbye.

I don't think I will have much access to a USB port. Limited room and weight, so the old laptop may not be going (which I would then need to worry about charging IT).
