And it probably won't work. The layout just isn't conducive to the con we want to pull off, although it would have been pretty sweet to have the concert on the actual field piped through the whole stadium. Anyway, I know I told a bunch of you it was looking like a real option, but I'd say it's nearly dead in the water at this point.
Ok, so you're looking for other venues in the Seattle area... great!
Having been dragged through the exhibition center for a Home Show it just wouldn't work well. It would be kind of like trying to hold PAX in the Tacoma Dome...
Oh god, that's not a suggestion, it would be way to noisy.

Yah i'm not a huge fan of oregon either, but the oregon convention center is a great venue. You'd obviously have to ask your exhibitors, but i don't think portland is that far away from most of them, although i could be wrong. For example several of my friends went to a recent software testing conference in portland.
I just love it how everyone says "HAVE PAX IN <insert their town here>" just so they don't have to drive more than 15 minutes to PAX. laziness in action.

Three hours? Pfff. Go at night, you can do around 80 without much of a problem.
Get the PAX 2008 Countdown widget and while away your sad, pathetic life watching it tick down the hours to PAX '08!
