I need a whole, whole lot of dental work. The four or five front lower teeth are the only healthy ones in my entire mouth. The top four are bad- one needs an implant for sure, and I need three crowns or maybe two crowns and a bridge? I don’t remember the exact treatment plan. And then every other tooth in my mouth needs fillings. Some of these fillings may end up being canals or even crowns- I’m slowly paying to get work done and despite caring for my teeth much better now, every once in a while I get a chip or some broken off tooth. There is a lot of damage. So far I’ve done one ‘corner’ of my mouth with fillings. I also prefer composites over silver amalgam fillings. So that leaves at least three corners of my teeth from the canines back all filled and then some serious, expensive restorative work on my upper front teeth. Total cost anywhere from seven to twelve thousand dollars, based on a few estimates and how id space the work across years of dental coverage.
I’m just wondering if anyone has experience with traveling internationally for lower priced dental work? I am of course nervous about care, especially with the major restorative work. When the price is so much lower my natural assumption is quality is a concern. But also of course materials, labor etc can just cost less in those places. I’ve read many positive anecdotes about good experiences both in Mexico and in Costa Rica. Does anyone have personal experience?

My mom went to Bosnia and got her whole month (several crowns, a bridge, and other assorted shenanigans) done for just over $2k USD back in 2003. She is from there originally however, so language wasn't a barrier.
