From check-in to check-out, The Bell: A Taco Bell Hotel and Resort reimagines what a hotel stay can be, unveiling a destination inspired by tacos and fueled by fans. Everything from guest rooms to breakfast and poolside cocktails will be infused with a Taco Bell twist, making this the flavor-filled getaway of 2019.

A not-to-miss gift shop will offer exclusive apparel to spice up fans’ summer style. Guests can also stop by the on-site salon for Taco Bell-inspired nail art, fades and a braid bar. And whether it’s daily happier hour or saucy snacks, The Bell: A Taco Bell Hotel and Resort will deliver beloved iconic flavors and introduce new menu surprises only available at the hotel.

“The Bell stands to be the biggest expression of the Taco Bell lifestyle to date. It will be fun, colorful, flavorful and filled with more than what our fans might expect,” said Taco Bell’s Chief Global Brand Officer Marisa Thalberg. “Also, just like some of our most sought-after food innovation, this hotel brings something entirely new for lucky fans to experience and enjoy.”

From a Forever 21 fashion line to weddings in the Las Vegas flagship Cantina, Taco Bell has long been surprising and delighting fans with unexpected ways to celebrate their love for the brand. At The Bell: A Taco Bell Hotel and Resort, fans will experience something even bigger and bolder, from design and entertainment to craveable food and beyond.

Taco Bell, a Southern California-based brand founded by Glen Bell in 1962, chose iconic Palm Springs as the ideal resort destination for its next hospitality venture. Reservations will open in June and those eager to learn more about how to score a room at this “tacoasis” in the desert can head over HERE to stay up to date with announcements on this experience meant for Taco Bell super-fans 18+

Oh, I will be eating real Mexican food on this vacation, of that you may rest assured.

But we are gonna go hard on some Taco Bell this trip.

Nachos for breakfast is really good, especially if you can incorporate an egg or two

Mmm. Yeah, maybe add a nice red sauce to spice things up.

Wait, shit, I think we just reverse-engineered chilaquiles.

How do people make eggs palatable?

The only part remotely tasty is the yolk.

  • 3cl1ps33cl1ps3 I will build a labyrinth to house the cheese Registered User regular
    How are you cooking them?

  • UrielUriel Registered User regular
    In a skillet.

I have a rough time making them over easy though since flipping then is hard without breaking the yolk or overcooking it.

    Also butter.
    Or bacon grease.
    Preferably both.

Well, it's one of two things

It's possible eggs just aren't to your taste. Otherwise, it's probably overcooking. Eggs are one of those foods that go from wonderful to absolutely repulsive when overcooked.

Try doing some scrambled eggs, and make sure to take them off the heat while they're still slightly wet, as they'll continue to cook from the residual heat. That should be a good litmus test as to whether the issue is taste or something else.

Have you tried sunny side up with a just a little bacon grease and a pinch of salt and pepper?

I don't like and of the over X eggs myself, I find it makes the whites have an unpleasant texture.

  • XaquinXaquin Right behind you!Registered User regular
I'd suggest an omelette or quiche if you don't want straight eggs

I got a couple of frozen Marie Callender's cheesy chipotle rice and bean bowls on clearance and they are surprisingly good. The veggies (corn and diced peppers) retain some crispness and the beans are neither too firm nor mushy, real high quality frozen food.

This morning I took a leftover beef hot link and diced it up, browned it in a skillet with some butter, then fried up two sunny side up eggs in the sausage grease/butter and then topped one of the bean and rice bowls with the sausage and eggs. Ridiculously delicious.

  • BahamutZEROBahamutZERO Registered User regular
yeah I think marie calender stuff is generally pretty good on the scale of frozen microwave foods

Tried a KFC dessert biscuit a little while ago. It was fine, but I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to get any.

I am sure you all vividly remember the tragic events of a couple of weeks ago, when this burger was delivered to me an hour late and in a near-inedible state of incompetent reheatedness:

I ordered one again today, and I'm happy to report that it arrived hot and fresh and delicious. I am filled with the deep joy that only comes with slightly too much spicy fatty food on a rainy day, and go now to take a celebratory nap.
