Computer wont go past the first loading screen

Hellos,
My roomates computer was unable to close itunes, so he opened the task manager and that froze up as well. He did a hard shut down and when his computer came back on, it would not go past the first hp screen that came up. We have tried booting while pressing F8 but that hasn't done anything. We have also tried unplugging the computer from the power outlet but that hasn't done anything ether. Any help would be awesome, thanks.

    Keep trying and press f2 or whatever your button is(I think it may be f5 for HPs but I'm not sure) to change BIOS settings. Check to see if there is an option to turn of clean boot. This should tell you what the computer is trying to load when it's booting.

    Hopefully you'll make it to the BIOS screen once.

    Hey unplug your Hard drive (either power or IDE/SATA or both, doesn't really matter) and try a boot again.
