Intermission Base Report

We finish building a Resistance Comms facility. I'm not sure why. I think I thought this was what let us build radio relays but now I don't know. Answers on a postcard, please.

Tygan finishes researching Psionics and autopsies a Muton. We can now build a psi lab, which is awesome, except we don't have enough resources or power, so we don't.






Sgt. Zxerol and Cpl. David T return from a covert op, having successfully stalled the Avatar project. Good work, folks. I'd like to go and take out the Chosen Assassin next but we need a Major ranked soldier so that has to wait. Instead I send Zxerol and David T back out, along with Sq. Straightzi, to start tracking down the Warlock instead.

We finish the Battlefield Medicine project in the proving grounds and get an upgrade to our medkits, then Shen starts looking into some Experimental Ammo.

Then we get our next mission, to destroy an ADVENT transmitter. Intel says we'll be facing lots of robots so I'm sending two specialists, and Sgt. Kamiro is taking some Bluescreen Rounds.

The comms facility increases your available resistance contacts, so you can get more territory. You can staff it with engineers for more contacts as well! Resistance Radio lets you build radio towers in a location you own, which reduces the intel cost of contacting adjacent territory and also helps unlock the XCOM2 equivalent of continent bonuses. Each tower built increases the cost of the next though.

Yeah Contacts are basically like Satellites, if you get lucky with some scanning drops or orders for extra ones you can get away with a single facility but it's a big if
