Swamp, Dark Ritual, Dark Ritual, Dark Ritual, Mind Twist. Yeah, it requires a near-perfect hand and you're down to 3 cards on turn 1; they're relying entirely on topdecking from turn 1.

i wish either black or red had some ritual cards in standard. it's annoying that only green(blue) gets to do any of that

T2: Swamp.
Attack with Carnophage. if no block, Dark Ritual, Hatred for 18, they scoop.

I literally did this to people who were putatively friends of mine at the time.

Actual Shock wasn't printed until Onslaught but I think Bolt was still around? Not sure when that left Standard.

My bad, Shock's 1st printing was Tempest. For some reason I keep coming back to the illustration of Psychatog getting hit.

it's always one or the other. im pretty sure if anyone cared to check one or the other have been legal in standard since alpha lol.

In at least the group I played with, the default red damage spell at the time was Incinerate; I don't actually remember people playing shock. Also, yes, the move is incredibly fragile; if they can interact with it you will lose. But when it works.... :biggrin:

those all in plays were the reason force spike was one of my favorite cards to play when it was legal. most people didnt play it so it caught so many people by surprise. but i always played some kind of jank deck back home and people eventually expected to get wrecked by random cards.
