I just reformatted my computer, and I want to listen to music and such, but a "sound device" isn't installed...apparently. My speakers and stuff are plugged in like they were beforehand. How does on fix this problem, and get sound?

Have you reformatted your computer before? You likely need drivers for it, but that depends on the make & model of the mainboard or soundcard. Lots of mainboard manufacturers have a 'driver pack' that includes soundcard, video, usb2, etc. drivers.
