Are you only able to watch videos from the PC that are in WMV format? Probably a stupid question, but I thought I'd ask.

If you use a program called TVersity (Windows only) it can transcode other formats to WMV on-the-fly for streaming to the Xbox360, but yea, the 360 only knows how to play WMV.

Edit: Dur, woops. The spring dashboard update apparently does allow you to play .mov files.

Downloaded that program. Can't seem to open any of my movie files and on top of that it seems to want to convert them to flash, not WMV.

    Hrm?

I just set that up today,

It wasn't working right out of the box. Because of the new spring Dashboard update you need to patch it. (check the fourms)

I think everything but Video should work from the original install. To get video working you need to patch it.

After that, just add whatever media you want and is should show up without any more work. (remember to turn off sharing in WMP11 or whatever other software you have)

Hrm, followed all the steps. The X360 says it can't find anything to connect to. Weird.

Ok, got it working but I guess it doesn't like transcoding my DivX/XviD codec using videos. Oh well. D:

    It should.

    Did you get the patch?

Yeah, I just think it doesn't want to play nicely with the Combined Community Codec Pack. It's a shame, really.
