For nautical horror, I love the first few minutes of Ghost Ship and hate the rest of Ghost Ship.
Also, more people should check out Cold Skin on Shudder. It's a literate Lovecraft story with Ray Stevenson that tackles a lot of the gross stuff about Lovecraft head on.

Deep Star Six

Macbeth
I'd recommend Cold Prey though. It has nothing to do with water... Its a Norweigen Horror movie... But it's real good!
Mel Gibson's finest role.

I liked The Last Exorcism, up until its dumb final three minutes
I liked the sequel, but a lot of it was because it fully ditched the found footage shit
Steam
But overall I avoid found footage so even when someone tells me one is good I probably won't watch it
Hell House, LLC is pretty good though it takes awhile to get going.
I didn't hate As Above So Below
Unfriended was pretty great
I adore Cloverfield
I believe that's Quarantine, the US remake of Rec
Quarantine also had the shot on the posters
Steam
so proud of that shot
Steam
2 was much better.
It definitely had the best segment (Safe Haven)
Steam
You would be correct.
