He was in the main Avengers book for a few years until the team fell apart and disbanded, and he ended up turning to metal or something when Namor invoked his sword's curse by killing Marina (who was a Leviathan wrecking ships left and right) with it. He came back later and rejoined the team, but I don't think he was ever in the west coast team.
Black Knight feels like someone at Disney was tasked with flipping through a Marvel Compendium to find a character that hit just the right part of the venn diagram between "Cool" and "Enough of a blank canvas that we can do what we want with" while watching the last season of GoT.
That said, I actually totally get it and think Black Knight will be a good add to the MCU.
I'm oddly annoyed that they're just adapting the comics. Sandman is so much a comic book that the best way to make a TV series would be to do it with an original story that takes more advantage of the medium.

I mean, I think adapting the comic books can be read in a lot of different ways. I doubt they're gonna try and shot for shot it, and I would be surprised if there aren't new original stories that are folded in to the whole thing.

I wouldn't be surprised if they give it the American Gods approach, where they keep the overall plotlines but adjust characters and stories, adding and cutting to make a better-for-TV version.

He was on the short lived late 90s Heroes for Hire which quietly has one of my favorite team line-ups ever
Iron Fist
Luke Cage
White Tiger
Black Knight
Hercules
Ant-Man (Scott Lang)
She-Hulk
Thena, of the Eternals
With golden age Human Torch as the team's financial backer/mission control

wait i am confused, I thought this was already known? Or something? I swear like a month ago we were talking about this and how you would do the first season. I even remember posting that you could do the first trade as the first season, and Gaiman tweeted something similar??????
because if a thread falls off the front page everyone forgets it exists, which means the most popular comic book company thread becomes the de facto comic book thread

Why start now?
I wonder how long until Amazon cancels it.
The deal I made was for a movie, not a series, so I'm in the clear
Also it was a shoe
