Looking for a math textbook

RichyRichy Registered User regular
Hi everyone... I'll put your book knowledge to the rest once again!

I'm looking for a math book. Specifically on the topic of abstract algebra. The cover was yellow; but I think it was part of a series of books by a big editor where all books are yellow. But what is most striking about it was humour. It was a legitimately funny math book, with jokes in the explanations and proofs that made me laugh out loud.

I figure there's not a lot of funny abstract algebra books, so maybe someone will recognize it!

The yellow cover and humor makes me think it may have been one of the "...For Dummies" books.
A quick search shows that have a couple different ones for Algebra, I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for or not.

It wasn't a "for dummies" book, it was from an academic publisher.

Do you think you'd recognize the cover? A google image search for abstract algebra textbook yellow brings up a lot of possible covers.

    Unfortunately no.

If it helps, it was a shorter book, and I read it back in 2007.
