What I meant was that Chincy's use of ACAB was very reminiscent of the times I and, I trust, others, made the effort to present someone with a carefully thought out and individualized statement on a political subject and were met with an infuriatingly simple and insipid response along the lines of "You're wrong. MAGA!" There's a distinct kind of frustration that evokes.
Obviously MAGA and ACAB are not the same, but they can and have both been used as a minimum-effort way to insult and dismiss an actual individualized attempt to engage and reason with a person.
None of the arguments presented here about why ACAB is hate speech have been well thought out arguments

Yeah ADL is who I met. I did originally say that it connects the two and that context is important, but it's also important to consider its prior usage (it was almost exclusively used by skinheads where I'm from)

As others have pointed out you choose to join the police. Police aren't discriminated against or persecuted like minorities etc so it's ridiculous to suggest otherwise.
It's pretty insulting to genuine victims of hate crime to suggest that police suffer to same imo.
