Editing a post

I sometimes notice that people put an "Edit:" explanation in their post, but the post does not appear to have been edited/hasn't got a Last edited by...under sig. Is this because of editing before another post is made? And should I see a Last edited by OAE on my post after I've edited them?

    When you don't see it, yeah, they edited it before someone else replied.
