Weird MSN issues

So, yesterday I made the error in judgment of attempting to get into WoW again. I updated my gaphics drivers, ect, installed with many various problems (thanks Vista and nVidia, I love you) and today came to the conclusion of screw my desktop, installing on my lap top to see if that works.

Well, today when turning my computer on, it boots up normally, things start loading in the system tray and then blank screen. At first I got annoyed, jiggled the mouse, then tried ctrl+alt+del, went to the green CAD screen in vista no problem. I click cancel and I am back on a perfectly fine desktop.
So, after this happens a couple of times I realize that MSN is the only thing consistantly not appearing until after this happens and it isn't my video drivers as I switched to the beta ones just incase. I decide to uninstall MSN and reboot.... Everything loads fine.

Normally this would mean no problem, just had to get rid of MSN. However I like MSN and would like my computer to run without issue. So, any ideas on what can be causing this?

And yes, I have already tried to reinstall and see what happens, same problem reoccurs once a new messenger is installed.

Comp Stats:
Windows Vista Home Premium
A8N-SLI Mobo
1gig Corsair Ram
AMD Athlon 64 Dual Core X2 3800+
nVidia 7600GT

can't really think of anything else relevant....
