One of the complaints of SwSh I had heard before the game came out (so before anyone had played it) was that there was no post-game content. I wonder where that came from.

People were mad as hell about the cut Pokemon, so they were searching for other stuff to be upset about to feed back into that initial anger.
!! I was doing an online battle and the fella rage-quit after I'd taken down 4 mons. It was a really good fight too, he had taken down 2 of mine and was well on his way to a 3rd! This is why I normally don't battle randos :P

Possibly a disagreement about what counts as post-game? If someone uses it to strictly mean non-story content I think there's just Battle Tower and max raid battles.
I mean I do wish there was more post game content though.
But there is a decently long epilogue and you collect rare league cards in that that let you summon those characters to the wyndom stadium for exhibition matches so you can show off as champion and get yourself paid.
But like, I just want more!

I gave up on trying to get a Dreepy and just got a big ol' Haxorus who was in the middle of the wild area lake
Drednaw is really lagging on Water coverage, he doesn't learn anything but Water Gun for a long-ass time and it's just not hitting as hard as I need it to

Do we wanna try to organize some kinda battling, thing? Part of me wants to try to train up a competitive team but I don't wanna spend a bunch of time breeding it for it to just sit in a box forever
There's an additional one-in-thirty-something chance for a shiny pokemon to now have a specific effect for that sparkle they give off when they appear.
As opposed to the mix of stars and squares that it normally is, bred pokemon can have exclusively stars and encountered ones can have exclusively squares.

Ive been training up a team for a discord im in. Id be up for it
There's a little confusion with the square and star shinies. It's still dope, but there's a quirk. So breeding and static encounters have a 1/16 chance to be a square shiny but wild encounters are flipped.
This is what serebii says.
.With breeding Pokémon, static encounters and Max Raid Battles, when you encounter a Shiny Pokémon it will have a 15/16 chance of being a Pokémon with the Stars sparkle and a 1/16 chance of having the Squares sparkle. However, due to a programming quirk, at time of writing when you encounter a shiny Pokémon as a standard wild encounter, this is essentially inverted with a 4095/4096 chance of the Pokémon having the Squares sparkle and a 0.9375/4096 chance of it having the stars one when encountering a Shiny Pokémon.
ps if you're fairly diligent about doing raids you can get enough candies to level most of your team to 100 before you hit the league and postgame
exp (and cash) has never been easier to get in a pokemon game
Between 5-star raids having so many good IVs, bottlecaps, whatever it is that changes natures, the free move relearner, uncapped EV supplements, etc.
I think they've streamlined competitive builds enough I might be able to start building my own bad-ass teams instead of SilverWind having to do it for me
I might have her do it anyway because she enjoys it and it's a labor of love that I appreciate
I'm thinking of replacing either Smokestack or Heckle, but I'm not sure what I'd put in their place. Any suggestions? Galarian originals are preferred.
Edit: My favorite thing about online battles is seeing the nicknames other trainers have given their 'mons
i wish toxtricity was slightly faster but I think I'm just gonna go punk rock, choice specs w/ overdrive, boomburst, sludge bomb, volt switch? and just hold that L if ferrothorn shows up since the only thing I could do to it is run fire punch, which I would on a life orb set but frail and slow seems bad for orb

That would invalidate one of their main purposes, which is that two seemingly-identical pokemon you catch will have slightly different stats.

The standard rules for online multiplayer only allows you to use one of a given Pokémon.
