Firefox and Quicktime

I have a weird problem with quicktime and firefox. Whenever I try to view anything with it, it always gives me the message that I don't have it installed. But I do have the newest version, and can watch anything on quicktime from my desktop. Is there something special I need to do in order to get quicktime to play?

    I had that problem a lot whenever I tried to view a YTMND page in firefox. After a few reinstalls, it seemed to have fixed itself.
