[SOLVED, I guess] Which part of my comp is fried?

So my computer was working just fine last night. I come home this afternoon, and the computer won't start at all. I look at the back, and the LAN port is lit up and so is the switch on the power supply, plus the monitor powers up, so I know the computer is getting power. I fiddle around with the cables and the power switch, but nothing.

I leave it unplugged and come back in an hour, and as soon as I plug in the computer it powers up without me even touching the switch. This is great, except it's not really powered up; Only the individual fans (not the video card or CPU fans) are working (they're plugged directly into the mobo, BTW). I reach around the front to turn it on, and suddenly every fan in the machine, along with the lights inside the case, are running at about 150% speed/brightness. The video card and the sound card still aren't putting anything out, though. To top it off, I detect the faint smell of vinyl, a sure sign that something has fried.

So, as far as I can tell, it's either the mobo or the power supply that has gone tits-up. I can't figure out which, though. Does anyone have suggestions?

O_o Um, whoa. Yeah, that sounds like a power supply giving you the finger while driving your system off a cliff. This is why I buy Enermax... you'll be lucky if any of those parts aren't roasted.

OK, follow up question: What are some good brands to consider for a replacement power supply besides Enermax? The place I used to work for built their PCs with Enermax supplies and we had more problems with restarts and burnt components than anything else I've ever used. I'm not looking for dirt cheap but I'm also not building Skynet.

I've heard good things about Seasonic and Fortron (and to a lesser extent Antec True Power). I'm really surprised by your experience with Enermax. I've dealt with a few dozen and they've always been solid (and have a fairly wide reputation for being so). I never use anything else in systems I build for myself. Are you sure you weren't working with a slightly different PSU brand name that was similar?

Upon further inspection, my mobo and video card have visible scorching. Consider this comp:
