[Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor: Martyr] I MISSED THE SEASON OF MALEDICTION
And I done made an SE++ Cabal in game if any one wants to join and make numbers go up. It's called ItaEstQuadCorvus and I'll accept anyone. If for some reason it's full; shoot me a pm.
Unfortunately Warhammer 40 000: Inquisitor: Martyr (hem hem) plays on my laptop, but not on my desktop. On said desktop, it gives me an Error: content outdated, update required page on loading the character select screen.
Also, if you're curious how this affects your game, all that happens is certain critters will drop rare stuff to pick up. Once we've all picked up enough we get to pick a Cabal perk and everyone gets it. There's no forced multiplayer or chatting or anything like that.
Just more bars to fill.
You don't need to have any specific DLC or expansion either.

What kind of game is it
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
It's the Warhammer 40K version of Diablo. Lots of skills, loot and critters. It tends to play a bit slower tho and has a titch more strategy involved using a cover system than most Diablo likes.
It's also NOTHING like the horrible Warhammer Fantasy Diablo-like they released a few months ago tho. Man that was trash.
So on my psyker, I generally roll bolt pistol & warp rod for dealing with chaos or traitor guard. For Aeldari & other factions that tend to roll lots of armor, I carry plasma and force sword with lots of pyro anti-armor abilities.
The current Cabal mission involves killing lots of Word Bearers. So, hey if you hate Lorgar, this is your time to shine.
I think I use Force rod? The one that does all the annoyingly loud little explosions that don't have to have line of site and are area affect. It decimates everything. Then I have warp sword I think when the big guys get close.
Then I went full Pyromancer. I'm deffo a glass cannon but holy hell I can melt shit.
Crap, sorry all, I had no idea our progression to next Cabal level resets every dang week. We lost all Weaver's progress and then all my progress from last weekend.
In any case, if anyone has time to help, it's encrypted instructions or some shit this week that drops from any Unbound critters; they seem to pop on any Chaos mission that isn't one of the Vanguard Elite folks but I'm not sure.
This game is pretty okay for $9. It's got a lot of good 40k feels. Kind of clunky in a lot of ways but eh. I'm enjoying crushing filth under my stompy boots.
I actually really like the clunky feeling. There feels like a lot more strategy involved than in Diablo where it's all about the build (which is also pretty fun).
The one thing I'm disappointed in tho is I thought I'd be all about the Tech-priest when he came out but he plays pretty boring if you go full robo-friends.

The slower pace is fine, no complaints there. The clunkiness is more like attacks feeling unresponsive/not triggering/not targeting correctly, menus being weirdly laid out/hard to navigate, systems being poorly explained, etc etc. The game is rough around all possible edges.

Hoo boy I can go on a rant about the tech adept weapon selection.
Faction who's defining characteristic is they bring some batshit arcane exotic guns and what they get is a version of a radium carbine that doesn't quite fit how the tabletop version works, and a plasma caliver that's called an arc rifle for some reason.
I picked this up for PC only to find out my GPU can't really handle it - but thankfully it was also on sale on the PS4 store for $10. I take it there's no cross-play between platforms?
A crusader sentinel with heavy bolter and stun mines is a great way to relieve stress amidst these weird times. So. Much. Dakka.

No, that's the expansion.

Approved!
After all the Eisenhorn/Ravenor books, I had to make my char a psyker.

I will approve you as soon as I get home!
I've been doing shotgun/multimelta and it's been a real fun combo.
Dunno! Give it a shot!
Doesn't seem like it. can't find the cabal on Ps4 at least.

Tried the Psyker, got one to 20ish. It was ok but wasn't really feeling it. The psyker power modification stuff is neat though.
Started again as the Crusader and I am having a *lot* of fun.
Dual force rods (warp storm and witch storm) with firestorm/bio lightning and firebeam gets you 3 aoe and 1 channeled.
Get the perk to add armour piercing to firebeam for elites & structures
Feel like the Emperor in Rise of Skywalker with god powers
MWO: Adamski
but hahaha heavy flamer goes fwooosh
MWO: Adamski
Super pleased to learn that my credits, and vault etc carry over between characters, even Cabal membership carries over
MWO: Adamski
also non gender locked classes but that's neither here nor there.
The cabal is yeah
The one thing I'm disappointed in tho is I thought I'd be all about the Tech-priest when he came out but he plays pretty boring if you go full robo-friends.
Note the Cabal name is slightly misspelled in the OT; it looks like it's Quod with an 'o'. It's got an 'a' in there.

I only put in what google translate told me :
