that tweet is clearly a joke

like, they literally demand time travel in it

I honestly read it as just weird wording, but yeah, you're probably right

I forget - the Snyder cut is the one where they haven't removed the CGI assholes, right?

This post was sponsored by Tom Cruise.

    In a sense, yes.

It is very difficult to satirize the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut crowd, because the demand STARTS in such a misguided and outlandish place that any ironic escalation becomes hard to detect

Can't wait for the followup conspiracy to explain why the new thing still isn't the holy grail of movies.
Not to mention the validation of wishing things into existence with bile magic.

Best case scenario, honestly, is that the Snyder cut is somehow even worse

I mean, whatever, if people like it more then that's fine for them

I don't love the precedent set by stuff like this or the Sonic redesign that if enough people just scream about it on the internet they can make this sort of thing happen

    Release The Teeth Sonic Cut

I would rather watch BvS three more times than see Justice League ever again.

At least BvS is batshit insane which makes it interesting. Justice League is just fucking dull as hell.

It’d be super embarrassing to want something only
for it to turn out bad, so the sunk cost fallacy dictates it’ll at least be popular amongst the people that wanted it, regardless of how it turns out.

Release the cut where instead of digitally removing Cavill's moustache in the reshoots, they digitally add the moustache to every other scene and that's the only change

I caught some of Justice League on TBS or something a few weeks ago

i dunno what it is, the action scenes just feel so styrofoamy. Nothing has any weight to it, shit's just flying around booping into each other.

Justice League I remember being kind of a mess but at least it let its heroes actually be fun for one goddamn second. I remember walking out of the theater enjoying the movie despite its flaws.

I actually didn't realise Snyder was in on the whole Snyder Cut thing. Like I had a much better version of this movie etc etc.
I thought that was just a crazed fandom thing.

I really hope it’s not a series. Make it one enormous mess of a movie. Double its length. Give me Snyder’s Sátántangó.

Splitting it into episodes is the coward’s way out.

I own the score for Mad Max: Fury Road because it fucking rules. And almost every Clint Mansell movie score. The Fountain, Moon, Requiem for a Dream, a couple others I'm forgetting and don't want to dig through boxes to find my CD book to find out!

Funnily enough, I think Man of Steel and Batman V Superman scores both kind of rule

Justice League's isn't great, but gets points for using the OG Superman and Batman movie themes, that's a trick that always gets me

I'm a big fan of Justice League.

It certainly has flaws but it also has a lot of fun stuff going on within it, and I'm always happy to revisit it.

In about 30 minutes, Edgar Wright and company will be live tweeting a viewing of Scott Pilgrim vs the World with several cast and crew as a part of the #WatchWithTheAcademy series via Twitter. It's available on Netflix to watch along for whoever's interested.

Back in high school I had the Scream soundtrack and it contained a System of a Down song, a Godsmack song, a Slipknot song, a Finger Eleven song, and two Creed songs. I bought all of those albums because I liked those songs and/or was peer pressured by other kids to buy those albums all because a friend stole the CD from his sister and gave it to me to prevent his parents from finding the evidence of the theft. Finger Eleven still rules.
