Big maps in .JPG form (San Francisco, specifically)
Basically, I'd like to have city maps available in a giant JPG or similar file type. I go to the city a lot (San Francisco), and I'd like to have a map on me at all times, and I always have my cellphone. A map in picture-form, so I can zoom-in and browse around, would be a really useful thing. Does it exist? How about bus routes?
I thought I'd be able to come in with "Google Images: San Francisco Map: Show Large", but for some reason that's turning up shitty maps and maps from 1910. Which is a shame, because this is a really nice map, and would probably be great if you had been asking for century-old maps.
I found this under "san francisco city map," only it's a .gif, which my phone cannot display for whatever reason. I opened it in InfranView and saved it as a .JPG and transferred it to my phone, and it works splendidly. I'm sure it will be very useful!
And Taximes - I've thought about that, but I don't really want to pay $15/month for Verizon's lame internet service. This should work with any LG VX9900.

There might be some good results in "San Francisco street map" and "San Francisco road map", I haven't really looked at those.
Depending on what other features your phone has, you could check out this.
