So I don't use Uber Eats, but somehow I've gotten four charges from them on my bank account since May 26th. This caused me to incur an overdraft fee.
I talked to a bank representative this morning about it. They closed the account that got these charges, but they also said they can't refund the overdraft fees until after I dispute things with Uber Eats. Unfortunately I haven't yet been able to find a customer service number, and online support seems to require logging in to your Uber Eats app, which is something I don't even have because I've never used Uber Eats.
You probably won't get very far because it's not your account, but maybe you'll be lucky.
In the future don't use your debit card if you can help it, banks are very hesitant to actually solve issues like this, and you're out money while they futz around and finally refund you.
However, the CFPB is like the tactical nuclear warhead when dealing with banks giving you the run around:
Supposedly this is the US phone# (800) 253-6882.
Is Uber Eats the same company as Uber? If so you can try contacting them on twitter. https://twitter.com/Uber_Support

Your bank sucks. I’ve had my card skimmed twice and double billed ones and my bank always refunded the money, and with the double bill they called them on the phone.
Yes Uber eats is uber, they just use their driver network to deliver food. I would try the twitter approach and see if they’ll refund you.
assuming your bank card is through a major credit card processor you can just have them do a chargeback; let the CC issuer fight it out with the vendor.
it was the smallest on the list but

I am confused as to why you would contest the charges with Uber instead of the bank, I have never heard of a bank doing business like that.

You can try that.

I'll update if I manage to work out something with my bank, BTW.

Also get a new credit card number.
