we use them somewhat rarely, but they did work at some point so here's a bug report about it. I only noticed this happening sometime in the last week but I'm not sure when it started.

I don't know the architectural details of how vanilla is embedded on forums.penny-arcade.com, but I think adding the parent field (as per that page) to the Twitch embed javascript might fix the problem.
