So today I got a legal notice in the mail. It seems to be a notice that a company I used to work for, Frontier Communications, is filing for bankruptcy or similar? What I can't figure out is why I got a notification and what it has to do with me.

The letter sent me to this website if it helps: https://cases.primeclerk.com/ftr/Home-Index

My retirement pension from Frontier is managed by a company named Milliman, can I presume that that pension won't be ransacked or anything? Do I need to do anything regarding this legal notice? Why did they tell me about it?

Edit: Here is the notice I received.

So Milliman is simply the servicer. Your pension is with Frontier full stop.

Your pension is likely protected. Here is a faq for you.

What is likely to hurt you is stocks or bonds that are part of your retirement. They are going to be shredded. Also your payroll, and maybe any sort of deferred compensation if you have any. I know many a person who never got their last checks when the company they worked for went bankrupt.

Oh I'm fine on last pay check, I got that a year after I was done with them in 2018 (it was a final bonus check for the partial last year I worked with them)

    Thank you for the FAQ!
