How do I remove my photos from my 5G iPod?

They're taking up like 700 megs of badly-needed space, and I'd like to remove them. Is formatting via the CD the only way? I don't want to transfer 30 gigs over again unless I really have to....

    Is 5G the Video Ipod or the one before that?

    It's a white, 30gb first-gen video iPod, not even the one with the brighter screen.

    I think you can set the folder to import pictures from to a folder w/ no pictures and then sync it again.

    I was going to say, is it not just like songs where you have to remove them and then re-sync?
