i didn't play ToEE at release so i didn't run into any issues. i didn't use the fan patch. i know there was some obviously broken stuff (i think it was trivial to get infinite exp or gold out of the magical crafting system?) but outside of that it was fine. it's lower level D&D which has problems although it having a lower than typical level range means you don't run into the issues of high level D&D, namely that casters completely break everything
technically its not deicide, because you don't actually kill zuggtmoy even when you "do", but beating up a god you aren't "supposed" to fight against and win was cool, so, whatever, points.
Shameful pursuits and utterly stupid opinions

what is "what did the fat old white sports commentator say"
NHL on NBC analyst Mike Milbury received criticism from media and fans for a comment he made during Thursday's broadcast regarding the NHL bubble, suggesting that there are "not even any women here to disrupt your concentration." After Milbury was condemned by the NHL, he offered an apology.

Ah man I remember trying to play that back in the day and I absolutely hated it cause it was turn based and every combat took FOREVER and was a bunch of telling people to do the same thing over and over again
Oh hey after months of inquiry we finally got a daycare to respond back to us.
Only two thousand fucking dollars a month.

its insane. In what world is 24,000 a possible amount of money to spend on child care unless you and your spouse are making enough money where you dont really even blink at that number
The reality of childcare costs is that paid childcare was never affordable, we just had horrible stuff going on that warped how income works that made it seem otherwise.

There is a pandemic going on, you know. A daycare probably goes through a hefty chunk of change disinfecting everything multiple times a day.
Since both of my parents worked, during my early school days I ended up in daycare up until middle school, and the first year of that I was taken care of by family, before I was allowed to just wander around the streets. The daycare I was at for most of those years was about a dozen kids, plus the owner's two kids. Before that daycare center, I was taken care of in a family home with at most two other kids, I think?
I imagine even back then it was a huge chunk of change. I remember my mother complaining about how much it cost.

The pandemic is not what made childcare horribly expensive. It's what made it MORE horribly expensive.

how many toddlers are there in a class that is a cool ~2000 dollary-doos a month
how many degree-holders in childcare does that cover to watch them anyway
That's probably about what we paid a month for childcare with Burpette (fortunately there are some tax things that effectively make some of it payable from your salary before tax). Staff ratios are one to three for under two and then it's either one or four or five (or maybe it stagger again between those numbers, I can't remember). Shit is expensive .
Fortunately CV19 means almost everywhere here just closed their waiting lists. Hurray.

Around me for the chain daycares $2k gets you a 4:1 kid to caregiver ratio (for infants, the ratio gets worse at the kids get older but supposedly tuition goes down as well) and judging by the staff bios not all of them have degrees. It also normally covers 2 snacks, lunch, and a diaper every 3 hours for the kids who need them.
Past conversations about having kids I've been a part of usually included mention of all the government programs that would have helped.
I could actually afford to have kids now but it took me way too much of my life to get to where I am and my emotional capacity for anxiety has already been maxed out for my lifetime.

I gotta say, Apex's movement feels really, really nice. I find myself trying to slide down slopes and stuff in Destiny, which is how you know it's good. BotW had a similar effect on me; for a while every game I played afterwards felt clunky, a disgusting and ungainly shamble through crude geometry etc etc

Also the guns go pow real good.
So what you're saying is that, once you've reached Apex, it's all downhill from there.

Hey, first time I’ve seen someone do a dancing game run at GDQ with actual dancing (as opposed to cheating and playing on a controller)
hmmmmmm
That's incredible. I love his two massive fans
it's very obviously biological in some way.

I wonder if I'd be more patient with it now

By 2030 only polycules will be able to afford children by pooling their resources.
