But I'm not so sure it's pink eye. My left eye is very bloodshot, around the whole thing, but it hasn't itched at all. What might be up and what can I do about it?
If it's just bloodshot, it'll go away on it's own. Eye drops might help if it's dry.
If it's pinkeye, there's likely to be swelling and gunk or pus around the tear duct (not just the usual "sand") and it may be uncomfortable or itchy. It may also take on a reddish, inflamed color.
If it doesn't go away in a couple days, drops don't help, and it' gets swollen, itchy, or uncomfortable, see a doctor. Pinkeye can be caused by allergies or infection. If it's allergies, he'll probably tell you to get antihistamines and eye drops. If it's an infection he'll either give you antibacterial drops (if it's bap in all cases.
So, I woke up today and my eye is still very reddish/pink. Some gunk was also present when I got out of the shower, and I'm not sure if it was normal-gunk or pinkeye-gunk.
say hellow to my friend pinkeye. go to a nurse practitioner and have her get you some antibiotic eye drops
And just in case no-one has mentioned it, stop wearing contacts, and try and figure out how you got it. (Municipal swimming pools are a likely culprit, but dodgy contact lens batches or just not cleaning them properly are other possibilities
Actually, I'm not so sure it is pink eye anymore. I've really had none of the symptoms except for the eye being bloodshot, and it's starting to look better. Maybe I popped a blood vessel or something?

Of course this has to happen during finals week.
