The author/artist tweeted out a new Kickstarter project for a new book that is a remaster of sorts of the old strips but in a "classic comic" format, so no single panel strips!
So Salami Dave seems terrified of this being in the blue fire box.
that's one of the other demiurges, the one frozen in crystal, who is supposedly omniscient and prophesized that allison's boy friend is Zoss' heir and said the title drop.

It's Jadis.
Abaddon has stated that Jadis used to be one of the most powerful of the Demiurges before she viewed the true nature of reality, was overwhelmed and became struck with apathy and rot.

Yeah, Jadis showing up almost certainly means Jagganoth is making his move.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
This is an excellent turn. After a book of bigging up Dave, of showing his power and now knowing our heroes can only barely graze him. After all that I see his face turn here and I am terrified
all that he has built will be undone. again.

Well done

I'm really curious about Jagganoth's whole deal. Like what's his endgame look like? He seems way too intelligent to just be a pawn for the angels and out of all the Demiurges he's also the one who's remained active all this time.

I’m just going by the standard set so far by the other demiurges, that he is the sin of Wrath and it is a veneer that he hides behind.

If I recall, I think Jagganoth (along with Juggernaut Star) is said to understand the true nature of the universe. Or in other words, likely knows what Zoss has been up to re: Spinning the Wheel.

When K6BD ends I gotta go back and reread the whole thing in one go. That way I might have a chance of actually remembering who everyone is and what's going on.
Very early in the comic there is a big group shot of the demiurges and Jagganoth is depicted without a helmet and seemingly in the grip of some heavy emotional/philosophical shit so presumably he will have a fair bit to say regarding his whole deal at some point
Do you like my photos? The stupid things I say? The way I am alive? You can contribute to that staying the same through the following link

He was also created to specifically subvert the big dumb brute trope.

Wonder if the obscured word was 'rightly' or 'lightly' from Dave?
Guess it probably won't end up mattering, and is just a final point of ambiguity in his character.
I want to say it would be lightly, and basically he'd slow boat out the transition as long as he could
Whether or not he'd actually do it... idk. Coin toss?
Honestly, I think he'd at least consider it, which is more than I initially expected of him. So while whatever this new emergency is is going to render it all a moot point, I still think it's a bit of character development from SD that we probably won't get to see play out now.
Salami Dave being asked to give up his power for the sake of his people, him starting to equivocate about how complicated that would be, then immediately being thrust into a situation where he has to potentially give up his life to try to save his people would make sense.
But as always I never have any idea what is coming next.
There's some text from the artist attached to this one which is something Kellys contemporaries usually use. Garrison adds small essay screeds to his insanity, but Kelly believes his craft carries itself without needing such followups.

Even if he is a prick I kinda like Salami.
