International Take Your Forum to Work Day!

That's right, folks, it's ITYFWD again!
Show us around your office, the dirty kitchen in which you make fast food, the bathrooms you clean, or the alley behind the Olive Garden where you polish off tugjobs. If you're unemployed, this is your chance to get an eye for your future career!

For example, I am an administrative assistant. I post on forums and talk about Warcraft with my brother and a few other coworkers all day.
I also get various objects thrown at me or creams spewed down my throat.

This is us getting really wrapped up in shredding old dot matrix printer paper one-by-one.

My job areas are pretty boring. Picture:

    1. An extremely quiet college library, with the most boring co-workers ever.

    2. An EB roughly the size of a large walk-in closet.

    And there you go.

I work at the University of Minnesota Language Center as the Lead Student Classroom Technology Assistant. Basically I help teachers use software and computers. At least that is what I'm suppose to do. Mostly I just help them find the light switch and how to turn on the projector. When I'm not doing that - which is 98% of the time I'm here - I dick around on the internet and eat poptarts.

Here is our little office, dubbed 'Room 5'(sorry for quality, camera phone):

Isn't this more "take your work to the forum" day, unless you show your co-workers SE++ on your comp or something?

I think those are given out at vocational schools and technical institutes. You know, skills that actually pertain to a specific job.

Didn't anyone at your college tell you that the Masters level is your working degree in Psychology? They made it pretty clear to my wife that if she wanted a job for actual money and not shitty temp work at a half way home for juvenile delinquents she needed to get at least an MS. Even after that she's taken tons of continuing education.

Oh, I know ... I switched into Psychology so I could graduate on time instead of failing miserably in CS, and this way I can always go back to more education if I want to continue to pursue Psych.
