Black Parade is basically an homage to Queen, Pink Floyd and Bowie

I think the Misfits would figure into the DNA moreso then Bowie and Pink Floyd.

The Queen flourishes are definitely there at times though

This is a thoughtful tweet thread that I found fascinating for the questions it raises about modern logistics

Also worth it just for this utterly surreal video of rows of rows of dejected-looking humans holding up remotes

Operator order puzzles are nonsense. It's a technicality for computers. People write their algebra out so it is unambiguous.

But clearly the 2 is physically closer to the parentheses than the division symbol and as such that should be done first.

Basically I was taught to apply numerical values to brackets like that which is why I got 2(3) being 6 and therefor 6/6 = 1

I mean, maybe people were taught wrong but the image is

    6 / 2 * (1 + 2)

    not

    6 / (2 * (1 + 2))

It is purposefully created to be misleading tho because the spacing makes you want to group 2 * (1 + 2) together in your head.

    No it's written as

    6 / 2(1+2)

There is no * symbol because
    1) it would be redundant
    2) the 2 being next to the parenthesis helps determine the order of operations

There aren't boring things, just boring ways to do things or boring ways to convey what you are doing.

    I like cooking. Boring.

I have been trying to find the best dessert and try a fancy new recipe every weekend. What is your favorite dessert? Interesting.

    I like movies. Boring.

I like finding the worst movies on Amazon prime and making fun of them over cocktails. I like watching the corniest romcoms and reenacting the dramatic parts with you in the living room. What movie should we reenact together? Interesting.

    I like books. Boring.

I like cuddling under a blanket and reading westerns. We can talk about what southwestern state would be the best to build a ranch in the old west. I like scifis, I'd get a grappling hook arm. what cybernetic implant would you get first? Interesting.

If you can't relate it to how it you two would interrelate I'd leave it out. Always prompt for specific answers, that way they don't have to think too hard about how to start a conversation.

and I wonder about my neighbors even though I don't have them
but they're listening to every word I say

    2(1+ 2) is not different from 2 * (1 + 2) I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.
