We discussed over Christmas starting a toy related thread over here for folks to share the glory of toy collections.
Personally, I collected Star Wars until the prequels ended but those are all in storage now thanks to a downsizing in apartment space. I do still buy the occasional Lego kit, pop figure or action figure - but this Christmas I got the collecting bug again.
So far I've got just Wave 1, but I'm starting to buy the new Masters of the Universe Origins line. They just stopped being Walmart exclusive and if my birthday weren't coming up and I'd get in trouble, I'd have grabbed them all by now.

I don't care if it's as big as a horse, put a fucking saddle on it.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.

I always wanted those Four Horsemen or whatever versions of the He-man figures. Sure, they were 2000s EXTREME... but they looked to have really good articulation.

i dont have any pics right now but my coolest stuff toy-wise is probably all the persona 5 figmas, and the soul of chogokin line Big O and tetsujin-28. Other fancy stuff probably includes all the on card samurai jack and gargoyles figures and some of the year 2000 sonic adventure line
I’ve never really been the biggest fan of Akira but that bike is still cool. A shame this is going to most likely be expensive as hell.
It's a sweet bike, but I will never not be amused by how iconic the bike is for the anime, compared to how little it had to do with the actual story.
I went in knowing only "this has that awesome bike in it", and then the show just Akiras all over the screen.

In the movie it's a symbol of the power struggle between Kaneda and Tetsuo, even more so in the manga. Also it's a super great piece of "futuristic" industrial design.

My Target and Walmart look like a whirlwind hit them - they are like 75% empty and the other 25% completely in disarray. The Lego aisles are even worse. I'm hoping that they restock at some point - but I did preorder Wave 2 of He-Man at Big Bad Toy Store just in case. Fortunately, it looks like Panthor is slowly appearing at Targets in my area, so this weekend I'll probably go out and check again.

I've been trying to acquire the Star Wars Black Series Empire Strikes Back bounty hunters. I finally was able to purchase the Archive reissue of Boba Fett for a decent price. Now all I need is IG-88.

Yeah. I don't think I can ever remember a time when the post-Christmas restock took this long to get things back in.

Holy crap that Bossk is fantastic. The amount of articulation is so great, even his jaw looks like it moves. The detail on Boba's rifle is pretty great too.

I despite my best intentions keep collecting Dragonball Figuarts. Theyre in storage now but I eventually want the whole crew. I also used to collect Masterpiece Transformers but I was priced out
I have a podcast now. It's about video games and anime!Find it here.
Really I find the prices resellers are charging for certain PVC things insulting and questionable
I missed out on getting the beetlejuice bishoujo figure {I did get it in the purple suit} but the price is going up and up as seriously I am not paying $250+ for it
It's tough, even Walmart and Amazon have been seen marking up collectables (some waves of Masters of the Universe have been priced at twice retail on both sites, and not by sketchy 3rd party sellers.)
I picked up some cheap Amazon remote controlled puck lights and put them on my bed side bookshelf of toys. Super happy with them.

Oooh! That looks awesome. Lighting is the one thing I feel like I'm missing out on.

I finished putting together my lego haunted house yesterday, thanks to Geebs' recommendation (I'd @ him but I have no fucking idea what his username is now). I had no idea this thing had a functional elevator in it and that it did the death drop when it reached the top. It's litty as af.

That...
That's the whole point! It's the Haunted House RIDE that goes with the other carnival stuff!
Oh man I want to get that set. I'm going to before it retires, but there's a couple other big Lego things I want first. If you look around, apparently they designed the tower/elevator such that you can extend it, and there are videos of that.

Yeah, the same set. But I haven't been to a Disney land or world in like 30 years, so I either A: don't remember shit or B: that wasn't there when I went.

I want to make it clear: I'm absolutely giddy I get to unveil this to you. I'm too much of a wuss for most rides, and my inner ear balance issues don't help. But man, everything about the Tower of Terror is awesome, and only grew more-so when I learned how it works.

Jim Sterling would join the forum for that, yes?
Well y'know, boys will be toys.
I think I must have donated them to something at some point, I cannot find them
They really looked like Mignolas art brought into three dimensions, and they were pretty posable too
Fuck.

That would just devolve into a Papyrus impression contest.
I was at Target today and they had a new entry in the Ghostbusters Plasma Series -- a 6" scaled Ecto-1.
I assume you already know about this, have it purchased, etc?

And it goes backwards !

We're talking about the same set, right?
Yeah. It's part of the Fairgrounds collection.
It's a play on the Tower of Terror.
