Hair clippers or buzzers

I'm not sure what the proper term is for this item. Electric razor? Buzzer? Clippers?

My partner has been using my beard trimmer to cut the hair on my head for months now. It does the job, but we would both like an upgrade to a proper electric razor.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Cordless would be nice.

I prefer a little bit of stubble, not quite ready to go completely shaved or bald.

I have a cordless Braun trimmer kit that works well. Prior to that, I had a corded Wahl kit for about 10 years that worked great up until it exploded.

I've had and used a Wahl wired electric razor with switchable clippers for many years. The pandemic has really made it pay for itself.
    Something like this:

I'd recommend it. Complete kit. Obviously you don't need to get that exact one, but as long as you maintain it, it will last forever.

I bought a Remington "salon collection" (I think it's called a c9700?) last March because of "the situation" and I like it a lot. High quality, cuts well and keeps a charge well, but I use it once a week at most, so charging isn't an issue.

It'll only go down to about 2 (maybe a bit less, it'll do a close crop if needed) millimeters or so without any guard on, which is nice if you want to keep a bit of stubble, but can do a decent amount of lengths.

    Easy to clean too.

I've had a bunch of other brands too, and it's unlikely that you'll end up with a total disaster. You can always grab something on the cheaper and of midrange with good reviews, and take it from there.

+1 to the wired Wahl. I've had to buy exactly two of them since I started buzzing my head 20 years ago. They last forever if you take care of them.

are YOU on the beer list?

Thanks for the advice. I don't have an outlet within easy reach in the room we cut my hair.

I'm going to try a wireless one.

Mebbe too late, but I went with a cordless one at the start of the pandemic, for my beard but now just do my hair with it too. Grabbed it off Amazon.

Panasonic ERGB42K Men's Precision Wet/Dry Beard and Hair Trimmer, Black

Works pretty great, wife helps get the back of my dome but I can do the whole thing with this with a little work.
