Edit: actually, codex was probably printed prior but released late due to delays - I would use the PL update

PL update was February 4th so use the most recent values printed is the general rule.

I figured this the case, it's just weird that they don't have the current numbers up to date in the app yet.

We're talking about a company that releases Codexes that are out of date a week before they actually release, as well as "Combat Patrol" boxes that are not actually legal Combat Patrol detachments, so being late on rules updates on their official app doesn't surprise me at all.

Codex Drukhari goes up for preorder on te 20th according to todays background article on Warcom

edit: For a second I got a bit excited by the next WD cover

    https://warhammer-community.com/2021/03/01/the-secrets-of-the-exorcists-chapter-revealed-in-marchs-white-dwarf/
It's just a painting articel for Biel-tan though. Boo

Exorcists are getting some rules though (Weird chapter tactic for them though, immunity to physical damage?). Also a paper version of the 40k points booklet.

Wasn't the harlequin white dwarf in may of last year?
I forgot about it well because of the pandemic at the time weeks and days just kind of mushed together and then it was fall

I am really curious what this belongs to
    n7whrrbm4l6t.png
Probably a Hospitaler for the SoB

Still the two bits of art from yesterday
I like the wyches playing with the kill but the one above that I am kind of sad the Drukhari don't get cool knives like that

  • honoverehonovere Registered User regular
Or Guard. Quite a few catachan sightings the last year or so.

There's already a hospitaller for SoB, so I'm not really sure why GW would release another one. I'd agreed with honovere and says I'm more inclined to believe it's something to do with guard.

There've been a few rumour engines that are kinda generically ministorum/ecclesiarchy looking, maybe something in the direction of an inquisitorial retinue kit. Though we know there's new stuff coming for Sisters, so could just be plastic priests and stuff.

  • SmokeStacksSmokeStacks Registered User regular
I would love to see an Inquisitional Retinue kit. I kitbashed my own from old models for my special snowflake original character doughnut steel Inquisitor a while back, but having an official kit to steal bits from would be great.

  • LanlaornLanlaorn Registered User regular
I own every Inquisitor, but the Inquisition rules would need to be dramatically improved for a retinue kit to do anything besides sit in a warehouse.

Knowing nothing about Necromunda other than some old school stuff, are the Water Guild supposed to look like Tau sympathizers?

They look very xenos inspired - one of them is straight up wearing Kabalite armour.

Considering that the Spyrer class names have suspicious resemblances to certain T’au words that could be said to describe their general appearance, that’s a solid maybe.

Fair enough. My first reaction was "Cool! T'au Water Cast being a little on the nose by literally becoming the Water Guild, but I like it."

Really the spider suit the Van Saar get also has spyrer look to it
But I do like how they are flushing out the lore and such of the hive

Neat little detail I saw mentioned: the leader of the group seems to have two pressure cleaners aimed at the ground before him and is barefoot. So they're always walking on freshly cleaned wet floors even in the underhive. Really flaunting their wealth

Read The Infinite and the Divine. Pretty enjoyable. The ludicrously long time scale was a major positive since you got to see the changes the planet went through, among other things. Only weak spot was Orikan being able to Bill and Ted his way out of trouble. It cheapened things a bit.

E: That and the use of proper unit and weapon names from the game. Don't know why, but a lot of it just never sounds natural.

Does anyone know about the Stormhawk/Stormtalon do they use the same sprues?
I saw they are sold in the same box now but on GW site the Stormtalon listing only shows 2 sprues and the Stormhawk 3?

Probably because the names are, universally, really dumb.

The Stormhawk is basically an Upgrade Sprue for the Stormtalon. You buy the box and can choose which one to build. The Stormtalon used to be sold by itself, but unless you get a really old kit from a physical store you'll be able to build either of them from the same box. If you're buying from GW you'll get the new kit.

Consequently, on the off chance anyone needs a Stormhawk sprue, I have one I'd be up for trading for something.

Lastly, Stormtalons rule. Back when you could just stay in the Devastator Doctrine all game my IH successor Stormtalons with dual Assault Cannons and Heavy Bolters were just shredding shit left and right.

Got my copy of the new KT pariah box. The cryptek comes in two sprues and I got two of the same so I can only make two half crypteks instead of one full cryptek.

Maybe I get lucky and GW sends me two of the other sprue so I can make two crypteks.

I bought a Canis Rex box like a month ago and it was missing an entire sprue. I emailed GW and after a bunch of back and forth emails
Me: I bought a specific GW kit and it's missing a sprue. This is the sprue it is missing, here is a copy of my receipt, can I get as replacement etc etc
GW: Which kit was it, where did you buy it, do you have your receipt, do you want a replacement, do you have your receipt?
Me: I bought it from an independent stockist, here is my receipt again, it's this specific kit missing this specific sprue, yes I would like a replacement
GW: Ok, we'll need you to upload an image of your receipt
Me: Here is my receipt again
GW: Ok, we don't have any spares of that kit in the office, we'll have to get it from the warehouse, it may take a while due to Covid
Me: Ok, I understand that, not a huge deal
[box arrives, it's the wrong sprue]
Me: Hello, the replacement sprue is the wrong one, you sent Sprue X, I needed Sprue Y
GW: Ok, we will send the the replacement sprue (this was on February 16th)
    Me: Ok, thank you

    On March 3rd
Me: Hello, I haven't received the replacement sprue yet, I understand that there have been shipping delays due to covid and recent weather, can you please confirm when it was sent so I have an idea when it may be arriving? [no response yet]

On the upside, between the kit I bought (the Canis Rex kit comes with every Knight weapon), the extra replacement sprue I didn't need, the extra replacement sprue I do need, and about $45 spent on bits websites whenever I get the package from GW I will have enough parts to build two Imperial Knights.

warzone Chadron will be previewed this upcoming week
    I only vaguely knew of it since because of the pandemic and Brexit really threw a wrench into the release plan. Still I keep meaning to find out what Beyond the Veil was about {I know it's a crusade book but there are other things about it I have no idea}

I got the Canis Rex mech I have yet to build it lacking the room since for storage reasons and to swap out the weapons on the arms I plan on magnetizing it
But I got it as a start to my chaos knights army

Vs regular marines she does 2.8 wounds twice per combat round assuming you chose gory spectacle, even without power from pain. Anything that boosts S or A on that table will boost those numbers, plus she’s an absolute blender vs GEQ

I wonder if she can still gets the Impaler option. Also if her mane of barbs and hooks is now included or gets her some extra attacks. But 7 attacks plus maybe a league apart is already nice.

Killing three intercessors a turn for probably 150ish points seems like not nearly enough out of a beatstick, but I don't play with our against deldar.

Lelith is more like 90 points but it's still not a great return on investment. At the moment it's looking like she's intended to be a horde mulcher, as opposed to Drazhar who - for a slightly higher points cost - will absolutely shred anything that looks even vaguely elite or tanky.

Completely apropos of nothing; new aspect warriors would be neat, right? So we already have the Shadow Spectres and know of the “slicing orbs” from various background sources so I was wondering what others could work as “mythic representations” - then those Lumineth hammer guys popped into my head so what about the “striking bolts” as a thing? Specifically an Aspect that use gravitics to fall from the sky and smash things with giant fusion hammers.

People are already pre selling her for $48! and the Drukhari half for 110!

    Part of me is debating about getting the codex on ebay or at the deep dive at the shop at the end of the month {people are not discounting 40k lately mostly the books I understand since you tend to sit on those longer than you wish}
The box set is well I am curious how much since I am thinking about it since more wyches and a venom that I will probably give to my haemonculi force I am building

  • BrainleechBrainleech 機知に富んだコメントはここにあります Registered User regular
They have not previewed any of the haemonculi or their luggage. So I am curious if they will give the rumored psychic powers for the Haemonculi.
Will Vect come back as a model?

I really think with model wise the heroic effort to update the craftworlders they will come out next year so who knows if they will give them a new aspect warrior or the pheonix warrior for warp spiders

Common mythic animals not represented in the current aspect warrior line are lions, wolves, bears, and oxen. If we include sea creatures you get sharks and whales as well.
