Finally finished a tonkor lich that I had been ignoring for months and it happened to have a toxin ephemera. Decided to try for a sister of parvos as I've never done one before and just activated the first one I found which had a tenet tetra

I just looked at it for the first time and it has three floating balls which I assume is an ephemera, kindof excited and really enjoying the systems they've added over the years.

Okay, so here's a stupid one.

I went to install an Aura Forma on my Protea, because she's just the best and I'm seeing multiple viable builds using different Auras. Okay, fun! I haven't used an Aura Forma yet on any frame, ever.
Go into the Arsenal to Polarize her. No Aura Forma listed.
I check my Inventory. Seven Aura Forma.
I switch to a random frame in my Arsenal, Rhino Prime. Hit Polarize. Seven Aura Forma available.
I switch back to Protea and hit Polarize again. No Aura Forma listed.

WTF, Warframe? Yer drunk, go home.

Apparently, I'm an idiot: I already used an Aura Forma on her! Like, probably centuries ago! And so let this be a lesson to all the rest of you, and learn from my mistakes:

Learn to tell when one polarization symbol doesn't look like another symbol across two different builds.

It may be my advanced age, or just attention problems in general but there's no way I can pay attention in a way that keeps those facts in my mind from one transition to another. LIke, once I make a change of any significance I'm back to zero and working from first principles, I'd still be stuck on that problem if I were in your shoes.

When they announced amps would be able to equip two arcanes, I asked what would happen if you equipped two arcanes that both convert the amp's void damage into a different type of damage. Still unable to find an answer even weeks after the update, I ran the experiment myself.

Whichever arcane has the name that comes first alphabetically will be applied to the amp first. The arcane whose name comes second alphabetically will then be applied to the remaining void damage.

This means equipping two max rank arcanes of this type is mostly pointless. The arcane whose name comes second alphabetically will only convert 1.96% of the amp's base void damage to another damage type.

However, if you wanted to, you could theoretically use lower rank arcanes to achieve a more even mixture of damage types. For example, equipping a rank 1 Virtuos Forge and a rank 3 Virtuos Trojan will result in an amp that does 48% Heat damage, 50.96% Viral damage, and 1.04% Void damage. So yes, the Viral/Heat meta can now be applied to amps as well.

If anyone still needs them, I have 2 extra sets of the parallax landing craft. It gives the air support option of Orokin Eye which scans for rare items, best one in my opinion. I don't use the craft, but you can put the air support on any of them once you craft it.

so im finally getting around to doing The New War.. and damn, i really was not prepared for just how long you are locked into the quest.
the first split-faction chapter was cool.. but now it just feels kinda like an exhausting slog. the Archon Fights almost made me quit for good... and i see the next part i have to do has more annoying deacon patrols ;p

like man, i just wanna do a little normal farming and not keep dying to falling damage.

Just need the name of your clan, exactly as it appears in game and someone can send an alliance invitation. Any clan in the alliance should be able to invite.

EDIT: you can also just give us your in game name, a slash command in the chat will let us look at your profile and see your clan name. It's /profile username in case anyone was wondering

It occurs to me that, while their form has changed somewhat - possibly due to past Orokin fuckery - the presence of the sharrac means that even in the far future, the millions-of-years-long line of the shark continues. I find this oddly comforting.

For sure, and then there's shark prime, the lanx. The ones you see in the grineer sealabs, and the beached one on the plains. The giant ones swimming in the background of the submerged labs probably trigger some thalasophobia.

    Public Service Announcement: Entrati Lanthorns

Did you spend all of your hard earned Entrati Lanthorns on buying Voidplumes (perhaps you didn't even realize that most Voidplume deals cost Entrati Lanthorns)?
Are you now finding yourself at Rank 5 with the Zariman crew, flush with Voidplume Pinions but an extreme lack of Entrati Lanthorns for your crafting needs? Are you finding the process of getting more Entrati Lanthorns extremely tedious, even more tedious than the process of grinding those weapons that are only rarely rewarded through high level bounties (and which you honestly haven't seen a trace of)?

Well. here are three tricks that might help you.

First of. Lets talk about Extractors. Maybe you've forgotten about extractors. Maybe you didn't realize they were there in the first place. Maybe you saw Extractor Primes and thought "Man, extractors are such a scam".
Well, I'd like to talk to you about Distilling Extractors. A Distilling extractor is a version of the extractor that takes longer to extract resources (8 hours), but has an increased chance of extracting uncommon and rare resources.
Yes. 8 hours is a long time. Also, It will probably net you voidgel or some other useless resource most of the time. But sometimes it can get you up to 4 Entrati Lanthorns and you can manage Extractors through the Warframe mobile app. Note: Distilling Extractors is also a good source of Orokin Cells. Plop one down on Ceres and one on Deimos and flip them every once in a while.

Second. Lets talk about the Djinn. The Djinn is a perfectly ordinary robotic sentinel (being made from infested goo, sorry Commander Zoom). It has two precepts, Fatal attraction (useless) and Reawaken. Which will revive the Djinn after 90 seconds. Reawaken is interesting because of the way it interacts with Spare Parts, a mod that has a 45% chance to drop Rare parts on Sentinel death (hint: On Zariman Entrati Lanthorns is a rare part).
Reawaken has one big advantage, unlike Regen it has no special interaction with Spare Parts (if a drone is regen:ed it won't trigger spare parts until it actually dies. Note that self-destruct through Fatal attraction also won't trigger Spare Parts, which is why it's useless). So if a Djinn dies it will trigger spare parts 45% of the time, which can give you up to 2 Entrati Lanthorns, and then it will pop back into existance 90 seconds later. Note: You can force enemies to attack your sentinel by switching to [redacted mode] and going invisible. Drawback: You need a pet to fit Fetch/Vacuum. So no pet, no vacuum. Ie, farming Djinn means 90 seconds without vacuum.

Third. Lets talk about container-blowing-upping powers. Two of the strongest container-blowing-upping powers are Limbo's Cataclysm (power 4) and Xaku's Vast Untime. Both of these powers will blow up destructible objects (like containers) regardless of line of sight and in a very large area (Xaku's blast is bigger, Limbo can aim his blast). While some people suggest going overboard with these powers (Overextend and stuff) I'd say that a much more moderate build is sufficient (given the 16m and 25m base range for Cataclysm and Vast Untime respectively). Stretch+fleeting expertise+Boreal's hatred (3 mods. +45% range, +75% energy effiency, +150% shields,-60% duration) will give you more than enough cheap explosive power to do the job (although for limo you might perhaps add some other +Range mod). In Xaku's case I'd suggest going for Primed Flow+Stretch+Streamline+Boreal's Hatred (4 mods, +45% range, +45% energy effiency, +150% shields, +275% energy max) since Duration is far more important to Xaku's powers.

My personal recommendation for container breaking (for example solo-running exterminate) is Xaku. Xaku is a pretty powerful frame that can both nukular containers and easily fight the enemies you face (because Xaku's loot build and Xaku's murder build are relatively similar).

I was born in the 80s. I can't help channeling the 90s, which includes appropriating the stupid language of our enemies to make sure that their idiocy is never forgotten (I'm not saying that's a good idea. I'm saying I'm culturally unable to stop).

I like using ivara for slowly looking in every nook and cranny. Or used to rather, before I had every tile memorized. It's easy to rush through at this point but I still ivara it and as always use a max range xoris to explode rooms for loot.

I haven't done ESO in years, as I almost always level gear on adaro. Just got a bunch of sister hounds though and went in there to level them quickly. The host migration was non-stop, at least 2 per group and they never held past round 4. I wonder if this is a network problem or a player trend?

On a related note. I'm wondering if a video of how to level things quickly on adaro would be helpful to anyone newish to the game or who simply hasn't seen how the stealth kill affinity multiplier can work most effectively. Has anyone seen anything like that floating around?

Even if you're the host, everyone else is still going to leave after maybe 1-2 rounds. ESO is dumb and only used for having someone else powerlevel your weapons for you unless you make a premade.

In the last few years I've only done eso for nightwave stuff, which i solo. leveling pets is a pain though so i tried eso out for it. i get the feeling from your responses that this is a player trend and not a connection issue. Host migration always sucks as you lose all the data the host server tracks such as bonus xp and buffs etc. Feels pretty uncivilized behavior and i wonder what causes it. even with boosters going gear doesn't hit 30 in one round.

...I still run 8 levels of ESO on occasion (like, sometimes and then whenever Nightwave wants me to do it) in the vague hope of getting those vandal parts.
I can generally keep one guy with me all the way to level 8, because I'm running Saryn in an ESO solo build so every enemy on the map is at least softened up.

TBH if you can get hold of the toroids, that's the only problem. Profit Taker is just kind of annoying, but each kill is 12k rep if you pop an item booster. Trust me, I hated it and put it off for years.

Edit: That said, I like 2 prisms and 4 braces... scaffolds? The middle one, secondary fire.

    dporowski on
  • FiendishrabbitFiendishrabbit Registered User regular
2 Prism (Shwaak) is good against most enemies, but not angels (due to falloff).

1 (Raplak), 4 (rahn) and 5 (Cantic) all do "enough" damage though and they all work fine against other Zariman enemies that require amp damage. Lega prism...works. It's not the highest damaging amp, but it works.

2 (shraksun), 4 (phahd) and 6 (dissic) are pretty good scaffolds (secondary fire) for Zariman missions.

Of the braces... 7 (certus) is fairly obviously the best brace (with a flat 20% crit increase), but most braces work fine.

P.S: If you want to level up amps both the Madurai and Unairu schools are pretty amazing. Madurai has some craaazy interactions with certain amp arcanes.
