They just announced a second season of Looney Tunes Cartoons, the revival effort over at HBO Max, and I really wish I liked it more. They’re too tryhard and aggressive, and the pacing is waaay off from the original classics. Anyway, I guess it’s better than that time they tried to turn the Looney Tunes characters into Tron.
This poll is rigged. There are two correct answers, an answer for cowards, and wrong answers.
Is "regular" a coward answer?
I gave my answer because I don't know too Bugses. I guess drag = Brunhilde Bugs, and basketball = Space Jam (which I see largely in connection with regular Bugs tbh). I don't know Millionaire, Cowboy, or Baseball Bugs at all.
But I do feel like the first two seasons of Arrow and the first season is The Flash are good the 1st of Flash is the best CW stuff period
Actually the first season of Arrow is goofy cause they were butting heads creatively with having to be a CW show but I do there there is a decent show the further the season progresses
Manu Bennett is incredible as Deathstroke
Also I like Titans a lot even though it’s not good

Piquant Take: Space Jam was not a good movie.

How do we feel about the greatest movie of all time? What is it?
I rewatched The Fall tonight with my wife. I watch it every few years. It is my personal favorite movie--there are a few movies like Goon that I watch way more frequently, but mostly because they're better for just shutting my brain off and having something on. As I (mistakenly) posted in a different (incorrect) thread, I give it 14/10--10/10 for being a great movie, +1 because Lee Pace is the deuteragonist, and +3 for spoiler reasons I won't mention here. That's not even giving bonus points for what must be the cutest child actress of all time.
If I had watched it for the first time this year, I probably wouldn't think it was a good movie.
But I didn't watch it for the first time this year. I watched it for the first time when I was 7.
I've seen it a few times as an adult. The experience is basically just remembering all those scenes I saw a hundred times as a kid, and so I can't see it objectively. It'll always be a really entertaining movie to me.
I'll probably watch the new one in theater, and I'll probably hate it, though.
@Mim we did not do Roswell or any other Sites. It was not an exploring trip really, due to time constraints.
@Atomika Whataburger was good! We tried the gravy and both thought it was very peppery (which I like) but mostly didn’t add anything. We liked their regular and spicy house ketchups, though. But who’s gonna tell them that their spicy ketchup is literally just smooth cocktail sauce? Thankfully cocktail sauce is great. The patty melts were great.

Any freezes or shakes or fried pies? And yes, they’re actually famous for their ketchup. You can buy it in the supermarkets in that area.

I always end up forgetting about it a few months after I watch it. But I don't think that's an issue with The Fall and more just how I treat movies. Everything it does, it does well. A few years later I'll suddenly remember it for the dumbest reason and will get an obsessive need to watch. This time because I was thinking about match cuts. Next time will probably be because I'm looking at a monkey and I suddenly remember Wallace, or I hear an Italian accent or see an old timey X-Ray operator or something.
At the beginning of the movie my wife asked me if Lee Pace died. She really wanted to know the answer, to see if she could get attached to him or not. I said "Yes, he dies at the end." Ooops. I really do love the movie, I just can't remember the most important parts.

Was The Immortals any good? Looking at his wiki, that's the only movie of his I even remember hearing about. I seem to remember it being a 300 sequel-ish, which eh, but wiki doesn't say so.
OTOH, Self/less has Ryan Reynolds and Ben Kingsley so it's gotta be entertaining at least.
Babies are so stupid. I tried asking a six-month old what he thought of Kant’s Categorical Imperative but it could barely gurgle out a response. Useless.

It’s gorgeous and has a very large amount of sexy people wearing almost no clothes, including Henry Cavill
It’s not particularly well-written, but it’s not awful. Definitely worth watching once on a high-quality setup

I'll give it a try, then.
I watched 300 maybe a year ago and realized it wasn't anywhere near as good as I thought in 2006, so I wrote off 300-2 and Immortals. But since it isn't really connected, it's def worth a viewing.

Yeah it’s not connected to 300 at all other than being a Greek epic
I demand 90s Bugs Bunny hip hop revival be added to the poll. When the trend peaked, I'd say a quarter of all middle school boys had a shirt or a backpack or a whatever that looked like this.

Yeah looking at it now I'm not sure why I thought they were connected.
The Persian Immortals played a big role in 300, so when it came out I thought it was like "this is the backstory behind those bad guys in 300!"
But now I think it was all me just totally misunderstanding the plot.

Yes and no. Depends a lot on the game and what they're going for.
I'd say usually that yes it's smoke and mirrors, but some devs are really fucking good at their smoke and mirrors.
Whereas other devs are like "uhhh idk, make the AI stand there and not even avoid getting shot, but give them perfect accuracy and 500% HP."
I'm looking at you, classic EU4 zone of control AI.
