I have a movie file (.avi) and a subtitle file (.srt). Using VLC player, I can watch the movie with subtitles, but "<font>color="ffffff"</font>" appears in front of everything. I opened the file in Word, deleted the code, and saved it. VLC no longer reads the file. I tried saving it in TextEdit, but same deal.
I also tried using TitleLAB combined with Quicktime Pro, but all that did was put a black box on my video and still show the code for the subtitles.
How can I successfully view the subtitles, in sync, and without the code?
