basically twice today my computer has suddenly crashed, and then a weird alarm sound comes from somewhere inside of my case. When i boot it back up it's fine but what the hell
could it be a heat issue? My fan doesn't really work but I've been running it with an open case and I haven't really had any problems. Wasn't doing anything that seemed too power intensive or whatever, was playing a game once and just browsing internets the other time. I'm running a big ass fan on it right now but uuhhhhhhhh
seriously what the hellllll
edit: should probably mention this happened after i had moved the computer one room over

Welcome to problems. Yeah, seriously, alarms from the motherboard + known cooling malfunction = heat issue. Fix your heatsink, although your processor has already been degraded by simply allowing it to function out of spec for so long.
