New to PC Gaming and Feeling Overwhelmed?
So I've been pretty much a console gamer my whole life, but I recently got a new laptop that is actually pretty good for gaming (my last laptop was 8 years ago and not exactly high end, even at the time). So, now I'm kinda curious about what I've been missing out on the last 10 years or so in the PC-only space, and I don't really know where to start. The sheer volume of stuff on Steam is kind of intimidating. I feel like most of the PC-specific discussion online is related to various hardware topics. Various "best of" lists are filled with games that I've already played on console (though I'm sure they run much better on a decent PC).
Mainly just looking for PC-only recommendations, or even just good resources for finding good PC-only titles.

RimWorld -- sandboxy colony management that you can get lost in forever
Total War: Warhammer 2 -- epic scale fantasy battles
Mount & Blade 2 -- super fun medieval combat where you get to lead a small/medium war party (100ish guys) fighting other war parties and conquering territory and such
Kenshi -- a personal favorite. A bit jank, but a glorious sandbox RPG that lets you be anything from a lone wandering samurai to the mayor of a town with a personal army.
Starsector -- amazing bullet hell top down space combat, but with an RPG layer that lets you customize your fleet with a ton of different ships and explore a living galaxy.
There's also a bunch of games that are, like, technically on consoles, but that you really should just play on PC. Not to mention innumerable niche indie titles. It all kind of depends on what type of games you like.
Thanks again, everyone.
