The call to go for two is absolutely Saban's.

Also, as much as I am loathed to compliment him, that was one hell of a coaching performance by Brian Kelly. Turns out if you give him talent close to what Alabama has, he can do some things.

He's complete clownshoes. Instead of being patient and waiting for the right time to strike, he's just putting it all on red and hoping it all works out.

It's Tennessee all over again. If he had just tried running it in before kicking that field goal, the entire season would be different.

Trying to figure out the playoff picture and it is bizarre.

Georgia is in control for the #1 seed.
Michigan Ohio State winner is the #2 seed.
TCU is #3 if they win out.
But who the hell is #4?

    Options:
    11-1 Michigan/Ohio State loser
    12-1 Pac 12 champion
    11-1 Tennessee
11-1 Mississippi (loses the tiebreaker to LSU because head to head, so wouldn't make the SEC title game)

My preference would probably be the Pac 12 champ, but if it's Oregon then you get a rematch of that drubbing that Georgia put on them.

Not that it really feels like it matters, Georgia when it decides to give a shit is the best team.

Eliminated this week: Clemson, Alabama, Illinois

    Heisman
    1. Blake Corum
    2. Bryce Young
    3. ??? Bijan Robinson maybe?

I dunno if he called the two but he used to do all sorts of brain genius moves like that with the Texans.

He’s very bad at his job you see.

Auburn/Mississippi State is real dumb. Auburn came storming back, took the lead, Mississippi State kicked a field goal to tie it and then did the rifle it off a guy onside kick, only to miss a field goal at the end. They're going to OT.

    Instant take:

    1. Georgia
    2. THE
    3. Michigan
    4. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I don’t trust this OSU team yet

The OSU team I trusted most recently would have given LSU all it could handle in 2019, but Olave zigged when Fields zagged in the semifinal

As ridiculous as it sounds it makes sense to me. If they somehow beat Georgia then it seems like a really solid case for a 4 seed. That is assuming they even make it to Georgia. I am expecting them to lose to A&M somehow and end all of this madness.

I really don't know who will win the Heisman.

Hooker was bad, Bennett was not Heisman worthy, Hyatt is still really good but had a bad day, Bijan is that dude but he's on an at best 10-3 team. Young maybe again? That seems like a stretch. Stroud has looked weak. Weird year.

There's no way LSU beats Georgia unless Stetson Bennett gets fucked to death by some over-enthusastic fan.

But a loss to a shiiiiiiiiiiit ACC team. Oregon would be 12-1 with a loss to Georgia and wins over UCLA, Utah, and whoever finishes second in the PAC-12 (probably USC).

This feels like the most realistic scenario. Dumb stuff happens all the time in college football, but it doesn't seem to consistently happen for any one team.

That was a really slick reverse by USC

Edit: I don't know if they drew it up like that or if the blocking failed just enough to make it cool but either way fun play

That Oregon team no longer has a quality loss to Georgia in this scenario

Week 9 LSU beats FSU 35-6

To be clear, I do not believe actual LSU is going to win out, the hypothetical LSU (or any team) that beats both Bama and Georgia in the same season probably doesn’t exist and is 100% not a Brian Kelly coached team

OK, with a night to think on it, I think the actual pecking order is...

    1. 13-0 Georgia
    2. 13-0 Michigan/OSU
    3. 13-0 TCU
    4. 12-1 SEC Champ (Mississippi or theoretically Georgia if they decide to sleepwalk through a game again)
    5. 12-1 Non-SEC Champ Georgia
    6. 12-1 Michigan/OSU
    7. 12-1 PAC-12 Champ
    8. 11-1 Michigan/OSU loser (if it's close)
    9. 11-1 Tennessee
    10. 12-1 ACC Champ
    11. 12-1 Big 12 Champ TCU (because the committee doesn't respect them)
    12. 11-2 LSU
    13. 11-1 Michigan/OSU loser (if it's a blowout)

    My projected playoff/NY6:

    1. 13-0 Georgia
    2. 13-0 Michigan (I think we can run on them again)
    3. 12-1 Oregon
    4. 11-1 Ohio State (brand/recruiting rankings beats out Tennessee, and the committee disrespects TCU blatantly)

Rose: 11-2 USC vs. 10-2 Penn State
    Sugar: 11-1 Tennessee vs. 12-1Tulane (G5 auto)
Cotton: 12-1 TCU vs. 10-3 LSU
Orange: 12-1 Clemson vs. 11-1 Mississippi

Of course, given my predictive track record this year we'll end up with four SEC teams or some bullshit.

If Michigan wins, I could see THE not falling lower than 4. The other result? Guarantee Michigan is 5 at best.

And I wouldn't be surprised to see Michigan only move up to 4 this week, with the Frogs jumping to 3. Or maybe Tennessee stays in the top 4. Or maybe both and Michigan stays at 5.

I just have a feeling that they're going to keep Michigan as low as possible to prevent 2 B1G schools from making the playoff.

I'm not trying to get all conspiracy theory-y, I just think, if given the choice, the CFP would prefer 2 SEC schools over 2 from the Bone-Gee.
