Every once and awhile, when my computer is booting up, it has issues finding the IDE drives on my computer. It sits there and says "Searching for IDE drives..." and just hangs. There doesn't seems to be any rhyme or reason for it, just out of the blue it decides to not find them. What's even stranger is the fact that a random combinations of soft and hard restarts will fix the problem.
But now, after installing my first SATA drive on this computer, every once and awhile on a restart, if it does find the IDE drives, it doesn't seem to be able to find the SATA drive. But after some restarts, it's able to locate it.
