Shit, did I fuck myself over in FF6?

Ok, I decided to whip out FF6 since I have never beaten it (not sure why, but Ill get it this time!). So Im at the point where I need to go fight the floating continent, so I decided to go get Mog and the Water Rondo. So I get Mog and I set myself down on the veldt and jump in that river. I wash up in Nikeah and I was supposed to leave the town and go north to that giant water fall I think. But what I did is take the boat to South Figaro.

So, Im in south figaro, my airship is in the Veldt, Figaro Castle is in the tiny desert past the mountains, and when I try to ride the boat back to Nikeah they dude says "This boat isnt going anywhere"

Im guessing Im forgetting something obvious, but Im having one hell of a time figuring out what that is. Anyone got any ideas?

If I remeber right it's a hella long walk back to your airship. Game faqs ought to have the route but I've done it before I just don't remeber the details.

It's a really long walk.

You should (though I am not certain) be able to walk to Doma from South Figaro.. then you have to go through that haunted forest, and finally back to the Veldt.

Yep, you get to go up and around. Essentially, you're taking the route that you took back in the earlier part of the game, as mentioned above. However, it does go a lot faster as all of the plot scenes are now finished as well as the bosses, etc.

I've done the same thing, many years ago, so it's not "dumb" or "wrong," just a consequence of exploring.

Well, the thing is I dont know how to get to doma. When you first go it spits out on the shore and you walk from there, but Im not seein how I get to there without that. The closest I can get is the returners hideout.

I know its a long walk, but Im supposed to be walking from Nikeah, but I took the boat.

I'm not sure how to fix your problem but I'm going to give you a tip for the future.

Never, EVER, take Terra, Gogo, and Umaro to get Cyan. Seriously.

I think I'm fucked too. I'm stuck at the top of Fanatic's tower, just beaten the boss but get my ass handed to me in the first battle back down the tower. The enemy with reflect just humps me. Pretty much stuck here forever, and it was the last place I had to go before Kefka's tower.

Yup. Go into the Hideout, and back through the river on the raft. You're essentially redoing Sabin's scenario.

You're not fucked then are you. How'd you get past him in the first place?

You could use the moogle charm, or cast reflect on yourself and cast spells on the reflected person (spells will hit the enemy), you could cheap out and use the invisible - x-zone/death/stone trick, you could etc etc etc
