    Wyrmwood has decided that trying to ship internationally during the holidays means all international backers of their table are going to the back of the line and now my table that was supposed to ship at the beginning of 2022 is probably not shipping until summer next year.

    So basically they'll be holding nearly $10,000 of mine for 18 months before shipping anything. What a company. Transfer all risk to customers for new products by using Kickstarter for everything and the stumble through fulfillment like a drunk.

    I cant chargeback a charge from six months ago.

    I actually doubt VISA would anyway. When someone used my card to buy stuff on Etsy, VISA said they'd only intervene if Etsy refused to refund me. Wyrmwood absolutely will refund me. Minus backerkit fees, of course, putting me out nearly $1k. And believe me, I'm considering it.

    Well, depends on what similar means. My table is so expensive because I picked padauk. If I didn't choose an exotic wood, it would be a couple grand. And I honestly think if I had it locally made, way up here in Yellowknife, it would be extremely expensive. Everything is expensive up here, especially craftsman labour.

    -holy shit that looked expensive. i'm guessing that budget could put a dent in even ol' pappa bezos' wallet.
    -there are two characters who are so shockingly perfect looking that i'm almost offended
    -i think i'm finding one of the main characters sort of unlikable?
    -it's very slow, very plodding. i wonder how many episodes per season?

    10/10 based on visuals of the world, 11/10 based on visuals of the characters

    8 episodes for season 1, they bought the rights for $250m with a 5 season commitment and spent at least 1bn on production.

    On this game development shark tank show, the executives actually make a good point. What does this game do that makes me want to keep playing it?
    A lot of developers lose sight of that. Reggie from Nintendo is hammering that point home.

    So many games have this loosey goosey aspect to them. No Man's Sky is a good example.

    i think Rings of Power is great

    it is paced like a Tolkein book and kids these days with their Dragonball attention spans may find that challenging

    they changed the way the dwarves look for the Hobbit movies to using CGI instead of practical makeup and camera trickery and it was a mistake and that mistake continues but it's not quite as terrible now that CGI is a little better

    Allegedly a voice of reason.
